Students must score a minimum of 33% marks (Grade D) in all subjects to pass the PSEB Class 10 examinations. The PSEB 10th grading system is designed to assess students based on their performance in the PSEB class 10 exam 2025.

The PSEB 10th grading system follows a systematic grading pattern to assess students equally based on their performance. Instead of percentage marks, students are graded based on their comprehension and competency level in each subject. This helps to avoid slight variations in scores and puts students into broader academic groups, reducing stress and competition and offering a more holistic evaluation process.

Punjab Board Class 10 Passing Marks 2025

The marking process in the PSEB Class 10 grading system is intended to judge students fairly and holistically. Students must secure 165 marks out of 500 to pass the exam.

Each subject is marked by written exams, internal tests, and practical exams. The marks obtained in each of these areas are then graded based on the laid-down grading scale.

The theory papers in the PSEB Class 10 exam contain 80 marks in total. Students must score 27 out of 80 to pass the exam.

How to Calculate Percentage Using PSEB 10th Grading System 2025?

Students can find the percentages using grades in the PSEB 10th grading system by following a simple formula. The following are the steps mentioned which students can refer to.

  • Review the related grade point of your grade in the mark sheet. 
  • Multiply that by 9.5.

Let’s understand with an example.

Suppose a student has obtained a B1 grade overall. The related grade point to B1 is 8. Multiply 8 by 9.5. The result comes to 76%.
