Tripura Board of Secondary Education incorporates grades ranging from A1 to E. The grades are awarded based on the performance of a student in the TBSE 12th board exams. In addition to this, an internal assessment scoring is also done in every subject based on the performance of a student.

TBSE HS grading system 2025 includes a total of 8 grades; A1 being the highest and E being the lowest, where a student is declared disqualified. In case of internal assessment, a 5- 5-grade point system is followed. The grade range is between A1 and D. The grades are awarded based on the marks scored in each subject.

However, students must perform well in the school projects, assignments, and other curricular activities, as internal assessment marks are also given based on the student’s performance in class. In case a student fails to achieve the passing marks, they must appear for the supplementary exam, conducted soon after the declaration of the TBSE HS board result.

Calculation of Percentage from TBSE HS Grades

  • Sum up all the marks of every subject of both theory and practical examinations. For illustration, if there are 6 subjects, add marks of the top 5 subjects, with the highest scores.
  • Divide the sum by the overall possible marks and multiply it by 100. You'll get the aggregate percentage.
  • With the help of the 12th board grading system, as discussed above, look for the appropriate grade.

Follow these steps to get the figures. Those who fail to achieve the minimum marks will have to take the supplementary exam.
