How do you calculate the percentage from Kerala Plus Two Grades?

The percentage calculation of marks in the Kerala Plus Two exam can be done by following the steps below.

  1. Figure out the grades and corresponding grade points in all subjects scored by a student.
  2. Calculate the sum of all the grade points.
  3. Multiply the sum by 1.11.
  4. Divide the sum by the total number of subjects.
  5. Divide the result by ‘10’ and multiply the result by ‘100’. This result will be the percentage scored by that particular student.

For example, a student got A, B+, A+, B, B+, and A+ grades in five subjects. Therefore, the corresponding grade points will be 8, 7, 9, 6, 7, and 9.

  • The sum of all the grade points will be (8 + 7 + 9 + 6 + 7 + 9) = 46
  • Therefore, the average grade point = (46 X 1.1) / 5 = 8.43
  • Hence, the percentage marks of that student = (8.43 / 10) x 100% = 84.3%
