The HBSE 10th grading system 2025 works based on a 9-point scale. As per the HBSE 10th time table 2025, the Haryana Board of School Education is conducting the class 10th exams from February 28 to March 19, 2025. The grades in this system range from A1 to E.
As per the grading system of HBSE 10th exam 2025, those who score in the range of 91 – 100 get an A1 (highest) grade. The ones who score between 0 – 20 get an E (lowest) grade. A good thing to note about the HBSE 10th grading system is that it has a provision for 1% grace marks. So if a student is just failing by 1%, then he/she may be awarded the grace marks. This is done so that a student can achieve the passing criteria.

HBSE 10th Grading System is a 9-point scale system. In this system, the highest grade is A1 and the lowest grade is E. A student must obtain at least a D1 grade to pass in a particular subject (the marks range for a D1 grade is 33 to 40). The pass percentage for each subject is 33%. A student must score at least 33% in both the practical and the theory parts separately.
If a student scores in the range of 91 – 100 then an A1 grade will be awarded. Those who fail to get a D1 grade will have to reappear for the respective subjects in the HBSE 10th compartment exam. Whereas, if the score is between 0 – 32 an E or D2 grade will be awarded, which means fail.

The total marks for every subject is 100. The weightage of practical paper may vary from 20 to 60 marks depending on the subject. In some subjects, there is no practical exam, but in all the subjects, Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation will be there.
The weightage of CCE (Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation) is 20 marks for each subject. The 5 compulsory subjects are Hindi, English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Science.
