Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has given precise passing standards for Class 12 students, so they must show a minimum skill level in every subject. To pass the PSEB 12th exams, a student has to get at least 33% of the maximum marks in each subject. This standard applies to both the theory and practical parts individually. If a student is unable to get the minimum marks in any subject, they will be declared unsuccessful for that subject and could be required to appear for supplementary (compartment) exams to get a better score.

PSEB 12th Grading System 2025
The PSEB 12th Grading System 2025 is based on a marks-to-grade conversion. Each course is marked independently, and a grade is awarded to students on the basis of their aggregate marks.
The topmost grade, A+ (10 grade points), is given to students who achieve 91-100 marks, whereas the lowest passing grade, C (5 grade points), is awarded to students who achieve 41-50 marks. Any mark less than 40 marks leads to a D grade (4 grade points) and failure.

PSEB 12th Compartment Exams 2025
Students who can't score the passing marks in the PSEB Board class 12 board exam will have to appear for the compartment exam. The PSEB 12th compartment exam 2025 will be conducted in July 2025 (tentative).
