Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) grades JAC 10th Class students as per divisions. The student who gets 75% and above comes under the division of getting Distinction, whereas students who get 60% and above come under the First Division. Students whose scores range from 45% to 60% come under the Second Division, whereas the Third Division is given to students who get between 33% and 45%.

The JAC 10th class student requires a minimum of 33% to pass each subject, including theory and practicals.  The students must score a minimum of  26 marks out of 80 in theory and 7 marks out of 20 in practical/internal exams.

JAC 10th Grading System 2025

JAC follows a 5-point grading system to grade JAC Class 10th. Students with scores of 75% and above are categorized as having obtained Distinction, while those with scores of 60% and above are classified in the First Division. The Second Division comprises students whose scores range from 45% to 60%, while the Third Division is for students ranging from 33% to 45%.

How to Calculate Percentage in JAC 10th Grading System 2025?

JAC 10th Grades can be calculated by following the below steps:

  • Step 1: Review the marks you received in each subject as listed on your mark sheet. Total the grades for every topic.
  • Step 2: Calculate the number of topics divided by the total number of marks. Your percentage will be the outcome.

JAC 10th Passing Marks

JAC 10th Compartment Exam 2025

Students who do not get the minimum passing marks in any of the subjects will be permitted to take the JAC 10th compartment exam. The compartment exam application form can be downloaded from the official website of the Jharkhand Academic Council.

Students need to fill in the application form by accessing the official website within the stipulated time frame. The minimum compartment passing marks are equal to the main exam passing marks. JAC 10th compartment exam results will be released in August 2025 tentatively.

How to Register for JAC Class 10 Compartment Exam 2025?

School administrators should click on the link for the compartmental secondary test on the council's official website. Important details about registering for the 2024 JAC 10th compartment test can be found under the "Recent Announcements" section. Then, register by following the instructions below:

  • Step 1: Click the 'Institute Login' option at the top of the homepage to log in.
  • Step 2: Enter your "Login ID & Password" as it appears on the intimation letter confirming your password.
  • Step 3: Update the Head Master's contact information and an other communication method on the institution's registration page that appears.
  • Step 4: Select the 'Print Checklist' tab to print the candidate data checklist.
  • Step 5: Click the box that appears in the 'Select All' column that corresponds to the data, then select the 'Submit Exam Form' tab to submit the exam form.
  • Step 6: Create payment advice: This page will provide the list of applicants whose exam forms the institution has received.
