Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) grades JAC 10th Class students as per divisions. The student who gets 75% and above comes under the division of getting Distinction, whereas students who get 60% and above come under the First Division. Students whose scores range from 45% to 60% come under the Second Division, whereas the Third Division is given to students who get between 33% and 45%.
The JAC 10th class student requires a minimum of 33% to pass each subject, including theory and practicals. The students must score a minimum of 26 marks out of 80 in theory and 7 marks out of 20 in practical/internal exams.

JAC follows a 5-point grading system to grade JAC Class 10th. Students who do not get the minimum passing marks in any of the subjects will be permitted to take the JAC 10th compartment exam. The compartment exam application form can be downloaded from the official website of the Jharkhand Academic Council.
Students need to fill in the application form by accessing the official website within the stipulated time frame. The minimum compartment passing marks are equal to the main exam passing marks. JAC 10th compartment exam results will be released in August 2025 tentatively.
