The Maharashtra HSC exam pattern 2024 will be available for English, Hindi, Science, Social Science, Mathematics, Language II, and an elective subject. Each paper will contain objective-type, short-answer, and long-answer-type questions. Moreover, students have to appear for the 5 compulsory subjects, including English. 

Furthermore, the board will conduct the Maharashtra HSC exams for 100 marks, out of which 80 is allocated to the main exam and remaining 20 to internals or practical exams. Students must score a minimum of 35 per cent to pass the Maharashtra board exams.

Maharashtra HSC Exam Pattern 2024-25: Details

The Maharashtra board has made a few changes to the Maharashtra HSC exam pattern. The same changes are being continued for the current session too. The following are the changes introduced in the Maharashtra HSC 2024-25 exam pattern:

  • In the new exam pattern, the board has added multiple-choice questions to the paper. These questions consist of 25% of the total questions.
  • The aggregate mark for the class 12th exam, which was 650 earlier, has now been decreased to 600.
  • An internal assessment or practical segment has been added to all subjects. In every subject, 80 marks are for theory whose exam will be conducted at the end of the year. Out of the remaining 20 marks, 5 marks are for listening skills, 5 marks are for oratory skills, and the remaining 10 marks have been allocated to any practical activity relevant to the subject.
