JKBOSE 10th grading system 2025 allows students to check their performance based on marks and total percentile obtained in the exam. The grades will be mentioned in the mark sheet ranging between A and D.

The JKBOSE 10th exams 2025 are scheduled from February 15 to March 19, 2025, for soft zone areas and from February 21 to  March 25, 2025, for hard zone areas. JKBOSE 10th result 2025 will be released in June 2025 (tentative). Students can then check their results by visiting the official website of JKBOSE at jkbose.nic.in.

JKBOSE 10th grading system 2025 is based on marks students have obtained in subjects. The grades and remarks are awarded based on the marks only. Students can check the remarks and grades corresponding to the marks mentioned below.

JKBOSE 10th Grading System for Internal Assessment

JKBOSE 10th grading system for internal assessments has three grading scales A, B, and C. A is given to students who have marks in the range of 14 to 20. Any student who has been given a C grade in internal assessment needs improvement. The grades for internal assessment as per the marks obtained are mentioned in the table below.

JKBOSE 10th Passing Marks

JKBOSE 10th passing marks are 33 out of 100 maximum marks in all the subjects. Below are the passing marks mentioned for each subject.

How Are JKBOSE Class 10th Results Assessed?

Jammu & Kashmir Board Of School Education follows certain criteria to generate the JKBOSE class 10th results. Below are the criteria mentioned.

1. Student's performance during their half-yearly and annual performance in class 9th examinations are considered to assess the result.
2. Internal assessments and assignments are also considered for JKBOSE class 10th results. Students are encouraged to complete their assignments correctly with proper research. 
3. The practice tests that are conducted between the half-yearly and annual exams are considered to generate the final result. Student's top two scores in three practice tests are considered during the computation of final results.

JKBOSE Class 10th Grace Marks Policy 2025

JKBOSE provides grace marks to students who only require 6 marks or less to pass in any subject. For above 6 marks or more, grace marks are not given. A student is considered as fail in that subject and may need to re-appear for the exam. 

JKBOSE Class 10th Supplementary Exam 2025

In JKBOSE 10th Grading System, students who want to improve their marks can re-appear for the exam of the subject only once. They have to apply for supplementary exam the same way as they had applied for the JKBOSE class 10th exam 2025 with the same fee. The validity to apply for the improvement exam is valid only for a year from the date of the result declaration.

If a candidate is appearing in an exam to improve the marks in a subject that includes a practical exam, they have to appear for both theory and practical exams. Student's marks in any of the two exams in which they have scored high marks will be considered for evaluation of final results. 

The final results of such candidates will be issued by the JKBOSE only.

JKBOSE Class 10th Issue of Mark Sheet and Certificate

The mark sheets of students will be released after the declaration of JKBOSE class 10th results 2025. Provisional and migration certificates will be issued for the candidates who have successfully passed the exam.

Students appearing for improvement exams to improve marks in one or more subjects or pass in additional subjects can collect the mark sheet only. No fresh certificates for such candidates will be issued and to get the migration certificate, they need to complete their course of study.

JKBOSE Class 10th Re-evaluation of Answers 2025

If any students find that their answers are not evaluated properly, or left unmarked by the examiner, they have other options to apply for re-evaluation or re-checking. They will be given 15 days time to apply for the process of re-evaluation after the declaration of JKBOSE class 10th results 2025.

Students have to fill out an application form for re-evaluation of the answer sheet and submit the required application form fees.  The result of re-evaluation will be released after 40 days of the application.

• If after the re-evaluation, the student's marks decrease, the previous marks will be considered to generate the final result.
• If the student's marks increased after the re-evaluation of the answer sheet then revised marks will be considered to generate the result.
