Maharashtra SSC Marksheet

Around 1,700,000 students appeared for Maharashtra  Secondary School Certificate (SSC) exams for the session 2024-2025  across 23,492 secondary schools in the state .The Maharashtra SSC  exam dates were announced back on November 21, 2024, with exams scheduled from  February 21 and March 17, 2025 . The  examination is going to held in these 6 subjects English, Social Science, Hindi, Marathi, Science, and Mathematics. . 8,64,120 boys, 7,47,471 girls, and 19 transgender students are going to appear for the SSC examination this session.

 

One needs to have a clear understanding of the Maharashtra SSC passing criteria, Marksheet  , Grading System , Supplementary Exam before they appear for their examination.

Maharashtra SSC Passing Criteria 

A student needs to have a clear understanding of the passing criteria before they appear for their SSC examinations .It is mandatory to score the minimum percentage of 35 percent in both theory and practical examination separately .The passing marks out of 80 is 28 and 7 out of 20.  Those who fall short for  2 or 3 marks  and have  not applied for any exemption are given condonation on the basis of the subject so that they can  pass the examination. In Optional paper students  need to score 35 percent separately both in theory and practical examination, In Language and social science  one need to score 35 percent and in Maths and science one need to score 52 out of 150.

 

 

 

Those who score 75 % and above  in their total aggregate are given a distinction grade along with recognition  , those with 60-74 % are declared to pass in first division and the rest who scored between 35-54 % are declared to pass out in second division

Maharashtra SSC Marksheet 

 

The result for Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) which concluded on March 17 , 2025 will be tentatively declared in the last week of May 2025  in the official website . One needs to be ready with  important credentials like  roll number and their  mothers first  name while checking their result in the official MSBSHSE website.

Students need to collect the original marksheet from their respective schools after the result will be declared.

In order to prevent any malpractices , there will be  drone surveillance and facial recognition technology implemented in the exam centre. The Maharashtra government has even made CCTV cameras mandatory in each classroom where students will be appearing for their examinations. 

Maharashtra SSC Grading System 

Just like central and state boards, MSBSHSE has  its own grading system ranging from A to E . One needs to score a minimum D ( 35%) to pass the examination . It's not possible for a student to score good in all subjects , so internal marks can help to elevate the performance of a student .

Maharashtra SSC Supplementary Exam

 Those who are unable to score  minimum passing marks -35% in one or two subjects, they will have to reappear for  the supplementary exams. This gives them a second  chance to clear the subjects by following the instructions and deadlines provided online.

 The dates of supplementary exams are declared shortly after the release of the result date in the month of May , most probably in July or August  . For that it is recommended to visit the official website . One needs to register themselves again for the supplementary exam , and this they can do from their respective schools .

 

Preparation Tip

SSC examination  is an important aspect  in every student's life . 

One needs to prepare well and be rigorous with their routine before they appear for their 10th examination .

  1. Basic Understanding of the overall syllabus , make a list of those topics you are weak at , and try to focus on it more often .
  2. Practice sample question papers daily . It can give you an idea of the type of  questions that can be there in the examination .
  3. Take care of your body and mind . Eat nourishing food and indulge in physical exercises or practise any sports . Apart from academics , one needs to keep themselves physically and mentally healthy.
  4. Plan and be consistent with your routine . Allocate different timing in a day when you will study particular subjects. Stay away from distractions like mobile phone , laptops during study time.
  5. Talk and take help from your seniors and teachers if you have doubts regarding any subjects .
