The RBSE Class 10 English syllabus is available on rajeduboard.rajasthan.gov.in. Students must check the list of chapters that will be assessed in the academic year 2024-2025.
RBSE Class 10 English is divided into two parts:
Part 1: Theory (80 Marks).
This part is further divided into four sections:
Part 2: Practical (20 Marks)
The RBSE Class 10th English syllabus encompasses literature, grammar, reading, and writing for the academic year 2025. Students must study for the examination considering all the sections. Analyzing the topics asked in each section can help the candidate score better.
A total of 350 words are contained in two unseen passages, which include a variety of questions, including four marks for vocabulary.
(i) Passage 1: 100 words (6 marks), six multiple-choice questions that assess local and global comprehension, plus two vocabulary questions that assess the knowledge of similar and opposite words.
(ii) Passage 2: 250 words (9 marks), nine comprehension questions (local and global comprehension), and two vocabulary questions (knowledge of similar and opposite words).
(i) Writing letters: One out of two (05)
(a) Personal: to acquaintances, relatives, and family members.
(b) Official: To government officials, the editor of a newspaper or magazine, the headmaster/principal
(c) Email family, acquaintances, relatives, government officials, the editor, instructors, the headmaster/principal, and so forth.
(ii) To compose a brief narrative in approximately 80 words based on the provided outline. (04)
(iii) A brief writing assignment that involves internal choice in approximately 80 words and is prompted by a verbal or visual stimulus (e.g., a picture, chart, or table). (04)
A diverse array of brief queries that involve the application of specific structures within a given context. Gap-filling, sentence completion, and sentence transformation (including sentence combining) will comprise the test categories.

The syllabus for English class 10 is available on the RBSE's official website. Students may obtain the syllabus in PDF format by accessing the website rajeduboard.rajasthan.gov.in. To acquire the RBSE Class 10 English Syllabus 2024-25, follow the steps outlined below.
Step 1: Visit the Rajasthan board's official website, rajeduboard.rajasthan.gov.in.
Step 2: Search for "अनुदेशिका 2020 एवं पाठयक्रम 2023-2025" on the left side of the main page.
Step 3: Select the syllabus download option.
Step 4: A new page will be displayed. Search for "Swachh Bharat 2025."
Step 5: Click on "कक्षा 10 हेतु" under "पाठ्यक्रम 2025."
Step 6: A syllabus PDF file will be displayed on a new page. Download and save it.
(i) Prose (20 marks) - First Flight
(a) One of the two extracts from distinct prose classes that are included in the textbook. Each passage contains six questions, each of which is approximately 150 words long.
Three multiple-choice questions, two comprehension questions that assess local and global comprehension, and one vocabulary question that evaluates the knowledge of similar words. (06)
(b) Three short-answer questions (each containing approximately 20-30 words) (2x3 = 6).
(c) In approximately 80 words, respond to one of the two queries that are extrapolative in nature and are based on any of the prose lessons, excluding the Drama Text, in the textbook. (five)
(d) In approximately 40 words, answer one of the two comprehension questions on the drama text (local and global). (03)
(ii) First Flight: Poetry (08 Marks)
(a) One of the two extracts from the text that are based on poetry to assess comprehension and appreciation. (2 x 2) = 4
(b) In approximately 20 words, each of the three short-answer queries should provide an interpretation of the themes and ideas present in the poems. (04)
(iii) Supplementary Reader: Footprints Without Feet (12 Marks)
(a) Respond to one of the two questions from the Supplementary Reader that pertain to the interpretation, evaluation, and analysis of the character, narrative, or situations that occur in the lessons in approximately 80 words. (five)
(b) Each of the three short answer questions regarding the interpretation and evaluation of nature following the lessons must be answered in a maximum of 20 words. (04)
(c) Three multiple-choice questions that evaluate the courses' factual content. (03)
