The Department of School Education and Literacy, Karnataka, will conduct B.Ed admissions for the academic year 2025. This year, the admissions are going to be purely based on merit. The application procedure is likely to begin in October 2025, while the merit list is expected to be published in November 2025.
Eligible candidates holding a bachelor's or master's degree with at least 50% marks (or 55% for engineering degrees) have to be domicile residents of Karnataka to obtain a seat under the Government Quota. Application is accepted online by conducting document verification in nodal centers, whereas allotment for BEd admission 2025 will be done seat wise on the basis of merit list and reservation category. The application fee is INR 300 for general candidates, and INR 100 for SC/ST/Category-1 candidates, and disabled candidates are exempt. There are 282 B.Ed colleges in Karnataka. Karnataka BEd Admission 2025 Eligibility Criteria

- The candidate must have completed a bachelor's or master's degree in humanities, social sciences, or sciences with at least 50% of the possible marks , or a bachelor's degree in engineering or technology with a focus on science and math with at least 55% of the possible marks, or an equivalent degree. This is the minimum requirement for admission to Karnataka B.Ed in 2025.
- Candidates must have a 10+2+3/4 (SLCC + 2 year PUC + 3 or 4 year degree)
- For the post of government, the candidate should be from Karnataka.
- Candidates who have two years of ITI, two years of Vocational Education Diploma, or three years of diploma are eligible.
- The Karnataka Board PUC is comparable to the IOS PUC only if a candidate has passed one language and one subject.
- A 5% mark relaxation is available for SC, ST, and PwD students.
- The candidate is required to be at least 18 years old at the time of the admission process. However, there is no upper age limit.

The Karnataka B.Ed Admission application process for 2025 is primarily conducted online, and here are the steps involved:
- Go to the official site and click the link stating "B.Ed Admission 2024-25".
- Register on the website if you are a new user using a contact number, email and password. After logging in, fill up the application form using all the important details including name, father's name, address, educational qualification, etc.
- The candidates also need to upload soft copies of some documents along with the Karnataka B.Ed. application form.
- Once the complete application form is filled, then click on the submit button.

- The admission process will be strictly merit-based. The merit list is expected to be released in November 2025.
- The students who feature in the merit list have to report to a nodal center they have selected for document verification.
- Once the merit list comes out, the students can change their college preferences.
- The seat will be allotted as per the student's merit, government policies of reservation, and the seat available. It is anticipated that seat allotment will commence from December 2025.
- The Department of School Education, Karnataka will be doing the counseling in December.
- The admitted candidate will collect the admission slip from the District Nodal Center of his district by the due date.
- Candidates have to log in using their user ID, accept the allotted seat, generate challan, and pay fees in any SBI branch. The candidate must present the fee receipt issued by SBI at the District Nodal Center. Thereafter, he gets an admission slip from the District Administration Center. After getting this slip, the candidate must get himself registered at the college before the last date.

Karnataka B.Ed Admission Documents Required
Candidates will be invited for the counseling session after the results of the qualifying exams are out. The counseling session will include submitting various documents to complete their B. Ed Application process. Following will be the document required.
- Class 10 and 12 mark sheets and certificates.
- A birth certificate, character certificate must also be submitted.
- A document stating Residential Proof will also be required.
- In some cases, the category certificate should also be submitted.
- Candidates should also submit a teaching certificate if applicable.
- Applicants will need to get three copies of the above documents duly attested by a gazetted officer of the Government.
