National Board of Examinations publishes NEET PG merit list 2023 through their official website for 50% of All India Quota (AIQ) seats. Further, the qualifying cutoff for the general category is 291, for candidates from the physically handicapped category is 274, and for candidates from the reserved category is 257.

Types of NEET PG Merit List 2023
Following are the types of merit lists that the NBE releases for NEET PG 2023:
- NEET PG merit rank: This list consists of the roll number of candidates who appeared for NEET PG exam 2023. The authorities will allot rank to the aspirants according to their qualifying status.
- 50% All India Quota (AIQ) rank: It mentions the names of candidates who have cleared the exam and are eligible for the counselling of 50% AIQ seats. The NEET PG merit list 2023 does not include candidates who belong to Jammu & Kashmir.
- All India 50% Category rank: This is a category-wise merit list and contains NEET PG 2023 ranks of candidates according to their categories. The list is valid for 50% of AIQ seats only.
- State/Union Territories NEET 2023 PG merit list: The counselling committees of respective states/UTs prepare separate merit lists based on the NEET PG Merit List 2023. Through this merit list, candidates get admission to 50% of state quota seats & all seats in private institutes.
NEET PG 2023 Counselling Overview
On behalf of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) will organise the NEET PG 2023 counselling. The counselling process will take place for admission to 50% of AIQ seats and all seats of ESIC/AFMC colleges and central/deemed universities.
There will be a total of 3 rounds in the process of NEET PG 2023 counselling. However, the authorities will conduct the third round only for the central/deemed and ESIC institutes.
The respective state committees will conduct NEET PG counselling 2023 based on state wise merit list. The state-wise counselling will be held for the remaining 50% of state quota seat admissions and all seats in private medical institutes of the particular state.

NEET PG Merit List 2023 Tie Breaking Criteria
In the event that two or more candidates obtain equal ranks, the authority will use the following process to break the tie:
- Candidates having lesser negative responses in Part A+B+C will get a higher rank.
- Those with better marks in Part C will achieve higher ranks.
- Aspirants with lesser negative attempts in Part C will secure a higher rank.
- Those who get better marks in Part B will receive a better rank.
- Candidates with fewer negative answers in Part B will earn a higher rank.
- Those with higher marks in Part A of the paper will be higher than other candidates.
- Aspirants with fewer negative attempts in Part A of NEET PG will get preference.
- Lastly, the authorities will break the tie by awarding a higher rank to the older age candidate.
NEET PG 2023 Result
NBE released the NEET PG result 2023 on its official website on March 14, 2023. Candidates achieving the required qualifying percentile will be included in the list of NEET PG 2023 result. Moreover, NBE published the result in a PDF format. Those who qualified for NEET PG 2023 can download the scorecard through the official website using their User ID and password.
