AFCAT 1 2025 Admit Card will be released on the official website on Feb 7, 2025. The commission has announced the AFCAT 1 exam date which is scheduled for Feb 22-23, 2025. The AFCAT 2025 Exam will be held in two shifts. Candidates appearing for the exam must have a proper understanding of the reporting time to reach the exam hall on time. The AFCAT 2025 Exam time is as follows:

AFCAT 1 2025 Admit Card
AFCAT Phase 1 admit card 2025 will be released on the official website by the conducting body on Feb 7, 2025. The admit card contains details such as the name of the candidate, roll number, exam centre, exam date, venue details, photograph, signature, and more.
Candidates are advised to print out the AFCAT 1 Admit Card 2025 and verify the details mentioned. Candidates must ensure that they read the instructions carefully and adhere to them. AFCAT Guidelines for Dress Code 2025
Candidates appearing for the AFCAT 1 Exam 2025 must strictly follow the AFCAT dress code guidelines or else they won't be permitted entry into the exam hall. The AFCAT 2025 dress code guidelines are as follows:
- Avoid wearing covered footwear, instead opt for slippers or sandals with flat feet only.
- Avoid clothes with too many buttons, pockets, or chains, or full-sleeved dresses.
- For Girls- simply wear a kurta or top
- For Boys- simply wear a shirt
- Any additional accessories won't be allowed in the exam hall.

Note: EKT (Engineering Knowledge Test) is taken for candidates who will apply for any branches in the Technical Field. It will be conducted for 45 minutes. AFCAT 2025 Cutoff
The AFCAT cutoff 2025 marks will be released by the conducting authority after the result is announced. It is the minimum marks that the candidates must fecth to pass the examination. AFCAT Selection Process 2025
The AFCAT 2025 selection process will begin after the declaration of the result. The steps included in the same are as follows:
- Stage 1: Release of Application Form
Once the application form is released, the candidates must register themselves by paying the mentioned application fee. Make sure to fill out the important details and upload scanned documents as required.
- Stage 2: Admit Card Release
After the application process closes, the commission announces the call letter around 10 days before the exam date. Candidates must download it using their login credentials.
- Stage 3: Attempt the Exam
The candidates must then appear for the exam on the scheduled date and time. The exam is held online and includes topics from sections, namely- General Awareness, Reasoning, and Military Aptitude Test, Verbal Ability in English, and Numerical Ability. There will be 100 questions while the total marks is 300.
- Stage 4: Declaration of Result
The commission will then declare the result on the website which again the candidates can check by entering their login details. Following this, the candidates will be called for the AFSB test.
- Stage 5: Attempt the AFSB Test
The AFSB test has three stages- The first stage comprises the Officer Intelligence Rating Test which has a picture perception and discussion round. The next stage comprises of a psychological test, a group test, and an interview.

AFCAT 1 Application Form 2025
AFCAT 1 2025 application form was released on Dec 2, 2024. The last date to apply for the exam was Dec 31, 2024. Candidates were able to find the AFCAT 1 exam application form 2025 on the official website. The application process consisted of registration which required the candidate to first register with a valid mail ID, and phone number and sign up with personal information.
The application process includes uploading documents such as an Aadhar card (optional for candidates belonging to Jammu and Kashmir, Assam, and Meghalaya), Marksheets, Thumb impression, scanned photograph and signature, followed by an AFCAT 1 2025 application fee, which was INR 250 for all categories.
AFCAT 1 Application Process 2025
The AFCAT application process 2025 includes the following steps.

Step 1: Registration for AFCAT
Candidates have to first visit AFCAT homepage and sign in or click on "Not registered yet? Register here" option. They have to sign in by updating the candidate name, father's name and mother's name, phone number, valid mail ID, birth date, nationality, etc. After the successful registration, the candidates will receive a password on the registered mail ID.

Step 2: Login and Fill Out the Form
Candidate can then login using the registered mail ID and the password. Then select the entry and click on the checkbox to proceed with the form filling process. Here the candidates have to give each information and details, select the educational qualifications, GATE score, etc. Candidates also have to select five cities of their preference for the exam centre.

Step 3: Uploading the Documents
Candidates have to upload the scanned photograph, signature, and LTI or Left thumb Impression. The documents should not be less than 10 KB and not over 50 KB in size, and all images must be JPEG/JPG.

Step 4: Fee Payment
Candidates have to pay the Registration Fee of INR 250 for General/OBC/SC/ST/PWD category candidates through an online mode of Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking or Challan Payment. No relaxation will be provided to the candidates of the reserved category in terms of the exam fee. After the successful payment, the candidates shall receive the payment confirmation either through the registered mobile number or through the mail ID or both.

Step 5: Application Correction
Candidates in case of any mistakes can correct the application form. The application form correction window for AFCAT 1 2025 will allow candidates to rectify or edit information such as name, parent's name, address, course preferences, signature, thumb image, and photo. The candidates will not be charged with extra fees to correct such information.

Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) is a National Level Entrance Examination conducted by the Indian Air Force (IAF) for admission into the Flying Branch, Ground Duty (Technical Branch) and Ground Duty (Non-Technical Branch). AFCAT 1 2025 Notification
The Indian Air Force (IAF) issued the AFCAT 1 notification 2025 on Dec 2, 2024. The registration process for it commenced on the same date, i.e., Dec 2, 2024, and concluded on Dec 31, 2024. Candidates were supposed to go through the notification before applying for the exam.
AFCAT Exam 2025 Eligibility
AFCAT Eligibility Criteria 2025 needs to be satisfied by the applicants to be fit to appear for the exam. However, it varies for different posts, which are as follows.
AFCAT Flying Branch Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for AFCAT Flying Branch are as follows:
Age Limit
- Candidates applying for the Flying Branch would be taken through AFCAT and NCC Special Entry.
- Candidate's age should be between 20 - 24 years as of Jul 1, 2025, i.e., he/she should be born between Jul 1, 1999, to Jul 1, 2003, with both dates inclusive. The upper age limit for candidates who hold a valid and currently active Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (India) can be relaxed up to 26 years, i.e., candidates should have been born between Jul 2, 1997, and Jul 1, 2003, with both dates inclusive.
Education Qualification
- To be eligible for AFCAT 2025, candidates should have qualified 10+2 with a minimum of 60% marks each in Maths and Physics. Along with that, he/she should also have a Graduation Degree for a period of a minimum of three years in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized University in India or equivalent. OR,
- Candidate should possess B.E./B.Tech degree (4-year course) with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent from a recognized University in India. OR,
- Also, candidates qualifying the Sections A & B of the exam conducted by Associate Membership of the Institution of Engineers, India, or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognized University in India with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
AFCAT Ground Duty (Technical Branch) Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for AFCAT Ground Duty Technical Branch is as follows:
Age Limit
- For Technical branches in Ground Duty, a candidate's age should lie between 20 to 26 years as completed on Jul 1, 2025 i.e. he/she should have been born in between July 2, 1999, to July 1, 2003, with both dates standing inclusive.
Educational Qualification For Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics) [AE (L)]
- To sit for AFCAT 2025 1, a candidate should have qualified 10+2 with a minimum of 60% aggregate each in Physics and Mathematics. Also along with that, he/she should possess a Graduation or Integrated Post Graduation degree for a period of a minimum of four years in Engineering/Technology from a recognized University in India. OR,
- He/she should have cleared Sections A and B of the examination conducted by the Aeronautical Society of India or Associate Membership of the Institution of Engineers, India. OR,
- A candidate should have cleared the Graduate membership examination with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent, which is conducted by the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers by actual studies in the following disciplines.

- Computer Science and Engineering/Technology

For Aeronautical Engineer (Mechanical) [AE (M)]
- A candidate who has qualified 10+2 with a minimum of 60% marks each in Physics and Mathematics. Also it, he/she should possess a Graduation or a Post Graduation Degree pursued for a minimum of four years of Engineering/Technology from a recognized University in India. OR,
- A candidate who has cleared Sections A & B exam of Aeronautical Society of India or Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) by actual studies obtaining a minimum of 60% aggregate or equivalent in the following disciplines.
- Aerospace Engineering
- Aeronautical Engineering
- Aircraft Maintenance Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering and Automation
- Mechanical Engineering (Production)
- Mechanical Engineering (Repair and Maintenance)
- Mechatronics
- Industrial Engineering
AFCAT Ground Duty (Non-Technical Branch) Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for AFCAT Ground Duty Non Technical Branch are as follows:
Age Limit
- For Technical branches in Ground Duty, a candidate's age should lie between 20 to 26 years as completed on July 1, 2025, i.e. he/she should have been born between July 2, 1999, to July 1, 2003, with both dates standing inclusive.
Educational Qualification
- A candidate should possess an MBA/MCA or MA/M.Sc degree in English/Physics/Mathematics/Chemistry/Statistics/International Studies/Management/International Relations/Defence Studies/Psychology/Computer Science/IT/Mass Communication/Journalism/Public Relations with a minimum of 50% aggregate in of all papers put together in Post-Graduation (Minimum two years programme) and 60% marks in graduation (both recognized by UGC/ Competent Accreditation Authority in India).
- For integrated courses (single degree without permission to exit and lateral entry), the minimum duration to pursue must be as per existing UGC guidelines with a minimum of 50% aggregate in all papers put together.
For Administration
Candidate should possess a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 60% marks in any discipline from a recognized university or equivalent or cleared section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
NCC Special Entry (Flying Branch)
- A candidate should have earned an NCC Air Wing Senior Division ‘C’ certificate on or after Jun 2, 2017. Applying candidates should have qualified 10+2 with a minimum of 60% marks each in Maths and Physics. A candidate should possess a Graduation Degree completed with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent with a minimum of three years duration in any discipline from a recognized University in India. OR,
- A candidate should have completed B.E./B.Tech degree (4-year course) with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent from a recognized University of India. OR,
- A candidate who has cleared Section A & B exam of the Aeronautical Society of India or Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers, India with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent from a recognized University in India.
Meteorology
- A candidate should have a PG Degree in any Science stream/Mathematics/Statistics/Geography/Computer Applications/Environmental Science/Applied Physics/Oceanography/Meteorology/Agricultural Meteorology/Ecology & Environment/Geo-physics/Environmental Biology with a minimum of 50% aggregate in all papers put together given Physics and Maths were studied in Graduation with a minimum of 55% aggregate in each).
Note: AFCAT II 2025 has announced a total number of 256 vacancies. Out of the CDSE vacancies, 10% of seats are for PC and out of the vacancies for SSC 10% will be for the NCC Special Entry Flying Branch.
Physical Conditioning
- Candidates are advised to be physically fit when arriving on the day of the SSB physical tests in the AFSB. They are required to be capable of running 1.6 km in 10 minutes and perform 10 pushups, along with 3 chin-ups.
- Physical fitness is important to endure and adapt to the various physical training in the Air Force Academy. The training comprises running, swimming, rope climbing and other physical tests that the candidates should undergo.
