Medical Standards For BSF 2022

History of BSF

Before the BSF, the State Armed Police Battalion was guarding the borders of India. In 1965, when Pakistan attacked the Sardar post, Beria Bet and Chhar Bet that the State Armed Police Battalion found themselves overpowered and unable to quell the situation.

The result was creating the Border security force, a premium military arm of the Government of India that was established to protect the country from outside forces. The BSF controlled and overpowered Pakistan's attack under the leadership of the first chief of the BSF - Mr. K F Rustamji.
