CBSE Class 10th Social Science Marks Distribution
Class 10th Social Science exam is divided into four sections- History, Geography, Political Science, and Economics. The theory paper carries 80 marks, and the remaining marks, i.e. 20 marks, would be awarded through an internal assessment.
The unit-wise distribution for the academic paper, the marks weightage, and the number of periods required are given in the table below.

CBSE Class 10th Social Science Exam Pattern

CBSE Class 10th Social Science Internal Assessment - 20 marks
The internal assessment carries 20 marks. The table below gives the students an idea of the subdivision of the internal assessment. Periodic assessment carries 10 marks and that would be conducted in the form of pen and paper tests and assignments.
The remaining 10 marks would be divided equally between portfolio and subject enrichment.
