HBTU Counselling Process 2024
To participate in the HBTU counselling process for M.Tech, MBA, BS, MS, B.Tech and other courses candidates must thoroughly learn about the steps involved in the process. The following are the steps:
Counselling Registration and Fee Payment:
The HBTU university accepts applications in online mode to apply for HBTU counselling. Candidates who fulfil the course-specific eligibility criteria can visit @hbtu.ac.in to apply. The candidates must submit the application form within the deadline.
Moreover, for the accepted entrance exams, candidates must apply through the official website of the exam conducting bodies. Lastly to participate in the counselling process candidates must make a fee payment.
Choice Filling and Option Locking:
This is the second step of the HBTU counselling process 2024 wherein candidates must select their college and course preferences. Candidates are allowed to choose as many options as they want. However, it is recommended that they fill in their desired course and college as “preference 1”.
The university also provides a window to edit options. Candidates must lock and freeze the options within the given deadline.
Seat Allotment:
Post choice filling and option-locking candidates will be allocated the seats based on their HBTU cut off scores. The cut off score specifies the minimum score required in the accepted exam for a candidate to become eligible for selection.
Selected candidates must download the seat acceptance letter from the official website for verification during reporting to college. They must also make an admission fee payment to lock in the seat.
Document Verification and Submission:
Online document verification and submission are required to check the authenticity of the candidate. The same documents will be verified during the reporting period.
Some of the documents required for HBTU counselling include an entrance exam scorecard, domicile certificate, category certificate, class 10 and 12 mark sheet, graduation certificate and more.
Seat Withdrawal and Vacancy Reporting:
If any candidates find that they are not satisfied with their HBTU seat allotment, they can withdraw their submission. After the candidates have withdrawn their application, the authorities release a list of vacant seats that can be filled in the next round of counselling by those who were not allocated seats in the first round.
Internal Sliding or Upward Movement:
Furthermore, if any candidate wants to switch their course within the allocated college, they can opt for the internal sliding option. At the same time, a candidate who wishes to change their college or course can choose the upward movement option.
Reporting to College:
The last in the HBTU counselling 2024 is physically reporting to the allocated and making the admission fee payment. The original documents are cross-verified with the one uploaded online to authenticate the candidate’s identity.
