Step-by-Step Online Process to Change Name in UP Board Marksheet
Following the steps mentioned below, the students can change their names on the marksheets of class 10 and 12 board exams.
Step 1: Visit the official website at upmsp.edu.in.
Step 2: Go to the relevant option written ‘Janhit Guarantee Seva - 2011” in Hindi.
Step 3: A window opens with several options. Click the relevant link written in Hindi.
Step 4: A registration window opens needing to be filled in with the email address and phone number of the student. An OTP is generated.
Step 5: A password on the email address.
Step 6: Go to the home page of the official website and click on the option to log in.
Step 7: The option showing ‘School Login’ must be opened. It will be directed to a page showing a number of options or services.
Step 8: The relevant service for changing or making corrections in the name must be clicked.
Step 9: The application form that is generated for name correction on the marksheet must be filled up carefully.

Offline Process to Change Name in UP Board Marksheet
To follow the offline process to change name in the UP Board marksheet, the students must follow the below-mentioned steps.
Step 1: Make an affidavit with the help of the local notary officer. The notarization of the affidavit must be done as per the legal procedure. It should contain the old name or the name written on the marksheet, the name to which it must be changed, and the reason for changing the name.
Step 2: Following the preparation of the affidavit, an advertisement must be done in two newspapers - a Hindi local newspaper and an English nationalized newspaper. The details that will be published must be double-checked errors and then sent for publication.
Step 3: The final step includes gazette notification. In this step, the student or the applicant must visit the gazette office, fill up the application form for gazette notification for a name change on the marksheet, and pay the required fees for the procedure. This step will ensure that the final and corrected marksheet is sent to the address of the student.
Application Fees
The entire process of name change or correction on the marksheet of classes 10 and 12 requires the candidate to pay a fee of INR 1000 at the time of application. This ensures that no false applications are submitted for the same.

- A copy of the birth certificate of the applicant.
