The institutions are graded based on various parameters after rigorous assessments. Some of the parameters are given below.

NAAC Accreditation Process
- The institution needs to register on the NAAC portal to begin its accreditation process.
- Then they need to fill out and submit the institutional information for quality assessment form to establish basic eligibility. The form is later reviewed and proven by NAAC.
- Then a self-study report is made by the institution according to the NAAC-specified criteria, listing down the details of the academic and administrative performances.
- The report is submitted to the NAAC portal using qualitative and quantitative matrices.
- Then the SSR report goes under data validation and verification checking of the accuracy and authenticity of the institution.
- The PEER team visits the institution, and do thorough assessment of the stats which were provided in SSR through onsite observation and interaction with the stakeholders.
- The institution is evaluated by the PEER team on various parameters as set by the NAAC guidelines.
- Then the CGPA of the institution is calculated, and NAAC assigns them with a grade which is published later.
Can Universities Apply for Re-Accreditation?
Yes, the universities can reapply for NAAC re-accreditation after the expiration of 5 years. They can do it by submitting a new SSR to the NAAC, ensuring improvement in the quality of education and the institution's management. Once the NAAC approves the IIQA form and the new SSR report. The process of NAAC assessment is conducted, and grades are given accordingly.
