RPSC RAS Exam Pattern
Before attempting the exam, candidates must have a thorough knowledge of the exam pattern.
Below you can check the RAS Exam Pattern, which is conducted in 3 stages.
RAS Prelims Exam
This is the first stage for the RAS exams. After that, you're required to qualify in the Prelims exam to write the Mains. The paper consists of objective-type questions and penalizes you with a 1/3rd negative marking for every wrong answer you give. Since the Prelims exam is meant to serve as a screening test, the marks you obtain in the exam will not be considered when your marks for the final merit are consolidated.

RAS Mains Exam
This is the second and final writing stage in the RAS exam. The mains exam is much more descriptive, and so is split into 4 papers. It is a very competitive exam, and the right preparation can take you to your goal.
The pattern for each of them is as follows:

Interview
The RAS exam has one more stage, but that doesn't involve any writing. And that's the interview stage, the third and officially final one. You're required to appear before a panel and answer a few questions that span across various topics in this stage. The entire stage is worth 100 marks; additional marks are awarded if you possess deep knowledge of the Rajasthani culture.

RAS Exam Eligibility
The eligibility criteria of the RAS exam include nationality, educational qualification and age limit.
The eligibility criteria that you need to meet to write the RAS exam has been provided below:
- The candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university.
- For state services, you must be between 21 to 35 years of age to perform them.
- For subordinate duties, you must be between 25 to 45 years of age to perform them.

Rajasthan Administrative Services (RAS) Salary
In the RAS, there are 20 state services and 15 subordinate services. Each of them has varying amounts of salaries that they receive. This is based on the different grade pay scales based on their roles and responsibilities.

What is the RAS Exam?
The RAS exam is a state-level civil services exam that leads to the candidate obtaining one of the most sought-after jobs in Rajasthan, which is to become a RAS officer. As a state-level exam, and with the commission technically a State Public Service Commission (SPSC), the candidate must know state-level affairs, particularly those related to Rajasthan.
