CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship
The Central Board of Secondary Education in India provides the only girl child of their parents with this scholarship based on merit. The eligibility criteria for this scholarship program are mentioned below:
- Sole Girl Child: The student must be the “sole girl child” of the parents. It means the student should be a girl and have no real siblings.
- Marks In Class 10: The student must have scored 60% or 6.2 GPA in Class 10 exams.
- CBSE-Affiliation: They must pursue their studies for Class 11 and 12 in a CBSE-affiliated school.
- Tuition Fees: Students whose tuition fee didn’t exceed Rs. 1500 per month for the academic year and a 10% increase for Class 11 and 12.
To avail of this scholarship, students can fill out the online scholarship form. They must also submit their roll number and certificate number mentioned on the Class 10 mark sheet along with other required documents.
The scholarship amount is Rs. 500 every month for two years.

All India/ State Scholarship Test
The All India Scholarship Test is a merit-based as well as need-cum-merit based scholarship. To get awarded in this program, students have to fill out the form online and appear for a test to compete for the scholarship at the national level. Students who are in Class 4- 12 can apply. At the time of registration, a small fee has to be paid.
- For merit-based scholarships, the awards are granted to top 2000 meritorious students entirely based on test results and personal interviews.
- For need-cum-merit-based scholarships, family income becomes an additional consideration with test results to select the top 2000 performers.

Vidyadhan Scholarship
The Sarojini Damodran Foundation provides the Vidhyadhan Scholarship for children from financially challenging families. Students are chosen after a rigorous test and interview in the selection process after Class 10th. Currently, this program supports 8000 students across various Indian states. Selected students will get scholarship assistance for two years. Those who keep doing well will be given scholarships for pursuing their degree of interest directly through the foundation or external sponsors. The amount for graduation courses can be anywhere between Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 75,000 per year, differing based on state, duration, course, etc.

Post-Matric Scholarship
This scholarship is specially for deserving candidates from economically weaker sections of society. Students who have cleared Class 10 are eligible to apply for this scholarship. They get maintenance and book allowance and additional allowance is offered to differently-abled students. It is governed by Union Territory or State Administration.

Indian Oil Academic Scholarship
Students studying in Class 10 and above can apply for this scholarship. A total of 2600 scholarships are provided where Rs. 1000 per month is given to the student for a duration of two years. The eligibility criteria for this scholarship is as follows:
- General students must score a minimum of 65% marks in Class 10.
- For SC/ ST/ OBC, the minimum marks requirement is 60%.
- A person with disability needs a minimum of 50% marks for the scholarship.

Siksha Abhiyan Scholarship
The Modi Foundation initiated the Siksha Abhiyan Scholarship to help financially challenged students of Class 8 to Class 12. The core belief of this program is to ensure no youth remains deprived and left behind from education. Eligibility for this scholarship involves citizens of India studying in Class 8- 12. Even those awaiting Class 10 results can apply for this scholarship.
The scholarship amount ranges from 5% to 100% depending on a student’s merit. First, the students are selected based on their application. Then, they are shortlisted for an interview. However, the final selection is based on the marks that students obtain in the Siksha Abhiyan Entrance Test. The exam registration fee is Rs. 400.

NCERT Scholarship
Meritorious students of Class 10 are rewarded through the NCERT scholarship in the form of financial support. Students can pursue higher studies with ease by filling out the form online. There are two stage tests for the NCERT scholarship program. The Department of State Education Research and Training conduct the first test at the state level. The second is at a national level conducted by the National Council of Education Research and Training.

Saraswati Academy Scholarship
Students who have finished their Class 10 exams can enrol in the Saraswati Academy Scholarship. Even students who are in Class 10 can apply. There’s a Saraswati Academy Scholarship Test on the basis of which the scholarship amount is offered. The amount is from 30% to 100% of the total tuition fee.
The scholarship is also provided to students who couldn’t secure any rank in the SAST exam but have appeared in the Class 10 exams and they have submitted their application before the board results. A scholarship amount of Rs. 15,000 will be awarded to students.

V-Mart Ujjwal Bhavishya Scholarship
V-Mart’s CSR drive has driven the Ujjwal Bhavishya Scholarship. V-Mart is the largest retail chain in India and it offers scholarships to its philanthropic partners to encourage students via NGOs or on a personal basis. It helps meritorious students from underprivileged families keep up with their education without considering financial constraints. The scholarship is Rs. 10,000 and is given to the brightest 750 students from the lot. Eligibility details for this scholarship include:
- Family Income- Less than Rs. 2 Lakh per annum
- Class 10- Students should have passed Class 10
- Marks- Students must have scored a minimum of 85% marks in Class 10.
This scholarship program also aims to improve the level of the backward class through education.

Combined Counselling Board Scholarship
Combined Counselling Board (CCB) has associations with many colleges, institutions, and universities, making Combined Counselling Board Scholarship one of the best in India. The eligibility criteria for this scholarship are students who have passed Class 10th with 30% to 50% marks. Chosen students will get anything from Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 70,000. Eligible candidates will also get a reward of Rs. 1 Lakh from their state government.

Jagadish Bose National Science Talent Search Junior Scholarship
Students studying at the undergraduate level of education and only in the science stream can avail themselves of this scholarship. West Bengal students who have qualified classes 10 and 12 in the year 2022 can also apply. However, if they have cleared these classes before 2022, they will not be eligible. The amount of Rs. 3000 monthly and the price of books of Rs. 2000 per annum will be given under this scholarship.
