The SSC CGL age limit describes the age at which the aspirants can work or operate under specific rules and regulations. The SSC CGL Age limit 2024 is based on two factors. They are category-wise and post-wise.
SSC CGL Category-wise Age Limit
The SSC CGL age limit for candidates residing in the State of Jammu & Kashmir from January 1, 1980, to December 31, 1989, is five years.
SSC CGL age limit for general candidates is fixed between 18 years to 32 years. However, the relaxation of the SSC CGL age limit for OBC category candidates is up to three years. The category-wise age limit for the candidates are as follow:

SSC CGL pay level 8 age limit is,

- The Ministry/Department for these post are Indian Audit & Accounts Department under C&AG

The salary range of SSC CGL pays level 8 ranges between INR 47,600 to INR 1,51,100. These posts belong to Group “B” Gazetted (Non-Ministerial), and the age limit should not exceed 30 years.

SSC Eligibility Criteria
Apart from the age limit, other eligibility criteria are required to be satisfied by the candidate.

1. Educational Requirements
Tier 1 is an objective-type test that consists of multiple-choice questions on four different subjects, including General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness and Current Affairs, English, and Quantitative Aptitude.

Degree based Educational Requirements:
- Candidates willing to apply for the qualifying examination must have completed their degree of Bachelorette from a well-known university/college.
- Candidates who are studying in the final graduation year can also apply for this examination, but they must possess the required qualification.
- Candidates must remember that the marks they secured in their final year do not matter. The only thing that matters is that the candidates must have cleared all the papers.

2. Physical Fitness Requirements
Apart from all these, there are requirements for physical fitness for the post of Inspector & Sub-Inspector in the Central Bureau of Agency and Sub-Inspector in the National Investigation Agency.
Male Candidates Requirements: Inspector (Central Excise/Examiner/Preventive Officer), Inspector & Sub-Inspector in CBN

3. Citizenship
As per the guidelines, candidates must be a citizen of India, and the age of the candidate must be between 18 to 27 years. These are all the criteria that the candidate must satisfy to be eligible for the SSC CGL 2024 Examination.
- A Citizen Of India (or)
- A Citizen Of Nepal (or)
- A Citizen Of Bhutan (or)
- A Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India.
- A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
