UPPCL Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for the posts of UPPCL vary for different posts.
- UPPCL Junior Eligibility (Civil or Electrical engineering) Criteria
The minimum age requirement for a junior engineer is 18 years, and they should not be older than 40 years of age. Candidates belonging to the reserved category would be provided relaxation.
The candidate should complete their 3-year diploma examination in electrical/civil engineering given by Pravidhik Shiksha Parishad, Uttar Pradesh or any diploma from a recognized university in India. The candidate should know the Hindi language and the Devanagiri script used. The candidates should provide proof that they can read and write in Hindi.

Any candidate with a bachelor's degree from a recognized university is eligible for the UPPVL Assistant Accounts post.
- UPPCL Accounts Officers Posts Eligibility Criteria
Any candidate who has passed the exams for Chartered Accountancy (ICAI) or Accountancy (ICWAI) is eligible for an accounts officer.

UPPCL Registration Process
Candidates can apply for any UPPCL exams online on their official website upon filling out all the necessary details and submitting the required documents.
The procedure to apply for any UPPCL exam is as follows:
- Visit the Official website of UPPCL: uppcl.org
- Click on the tab "Vacancy/Result," which you can find in the top-right corner of the webpage.
- Click on the "View/Download" button beside the 'Apply online tab for whichever post you want to apply for.
- You will be redirected to a page on a new tab where you have to click on "New user registration" for whichever UPPCL exam you choose. An application form will be generated when you click on it.
- Before filling in the online application form, the candidate should keep the following documents or information with them:
- Scanned image of a recent Photograph (coloured) of the candidate in JPEG format.
- Scanned Signature of the candidate in JPEG format.
- Email ID
- Mobile Number
- Academic details of class 10, class 12 and any other applicable course.
- Ex-Servicemen Retirement certificate (if you are an Ex-Army or Ex-Government Uttar Pradesh employee)
- Fill in all the details required, enter the captcha and then press the "Register" button.
- After successful registration, the candidate will receive their application number, user ID and password on their registered mobile number and email ID.
- Upon successfully submitting the UPPCL application form and deposition of the application fee, the candidate will view the complete application submitted to UPPCL. Kindly take a printout of this application form for future correspondence & the application sequence number printed on it.

UPPCL Selection Process
The selection process for the posts at UPPCL is quite simple. The candidate would be qualified for the post if they clear their examination and verify the required documents. The candidates selected would have to undergo training for the respective post for a specific period decided by UPPCL.
UPPCL Vacancies
UPPCL has released the notification for the vacancies of posts for which the candidates can apply for. There are 608 vacancies available for the post of technician, with 245 posts allotted for General Category, 127 posts allotted for the economically weaker sections, 164 posts for OBC, 12 posts for the SC category, and 60 posts for the ST category.
