- Nationality: Candidates must be a citizen of India or Indian origin or from Nepal, Bhutan, or Tibet settled in India before January 01, 1962.
- Education Qualification: Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree from a UGC recognised University.
- Age Limit: Interested candidates' age must be between 21 to 32.
- Number of Attempts: The maximum number of attempts for general category candidates is 6. However, candidates belonging to the OBC category have 9 attempts. Furthermore, candidates belonging to SC/ST category are exempted from the limit of appearing for the exam.
