Infrastructure Facilities at Akal University, [AU] Bathinda:

Library:

• The library has got a well-stocked set of books, learning center, video viewing facilities, newspapers, magazines, and periodicals.
• It is divided into 4 sections namely, (a) Stack area, (b) Circulation section, (c) Reference and Periodical section and (d) Reading room and ICT Lab.
• A total of 7850 books are available in the library.
• OPAC system is available which enables the facility to search, browse, and reserve physical materials available at the library.
• Automation and Security Systems of the library are designed using Koha Library Management Software [KLMS] integrated with RFID technology.

Computing Facilities:

• AU provides cutting-edge technology to the students.
• Students are availed with well-furnished computer labs to access internet facility to aid their study.

Sports Facilities:

• Akal University conducts Annual Athletics Meet every year which includes games such as 100m running race, 400m running race, 800m running race, 3000m running race, Long Jump, Tug-of-War, High Jump, Relay Race, Jevlin Throw and Discus Throw.
• Athletic Meet encourages the students to participate in all events with as sports play an important role in their lives.

Hostels:

• AU provides separate hostels for boys and girls.
• It has got fully furnished hostel rooms with a safe and homely environment to the students.
• Hostels are free from the drug abuse.
• Students are served nutritious vegetarian food.
