Anandaram Dhekial Phookan College was founded in the year 1959. It was founded in Nagaon, Assam. Anandaram Dekial Phookan struggled hard to establish the excellence of Assamese language and desired to see Assam prosper in all aspects. The College was named after him. The college offers an ideal surrounding dotted with green, luxuriant and foliage for teaching-learning atmosphere.

The College campus is compact but provides all the necessary facilities to its students. ADP College has created its own online classroom, integrated with the official website. Students can directly access class-notes uploaded by our faculty members in this online classroom. The College keeps organizing events and seminars so that the students get to participate and learn through them.

Maximum emphasis is laid on discipline and character building, and students are expected to maintain a high standard of discipline. They are subjected to rules and regulations of the college. Anandaram Dhekial Phookan College Admission

The rights of admission are reserved by the college authority. Students are admitted only on Merit-basis. Reservation of seats for ST/SC/OBC is in accordance with the Government rules existing at the time of admission. Preference will be given to students having proficiency of high standard in extracurricular activities under existing rules, giving bonus marks 5% of total marks secured.

The quota is limited and seats remained vacant after application of rules will be filled by general category candidates. Students who have appeared in T.D.C. part I and part II Examination must get themselves admitted by depositing requisite fees as dates fixed by the college authority.
