Courses Offered by AU Distance Education

Andhra University Distance Education School offers BA, B.Com, B.Sc courses under UG programmes, PG Programmes MA, M.Com, M.Sc in different specialisation, Professional Programmes MCA, LLM, B.Ed, MHRM, MJMC and MBA, Executive MBA in different specialisation.

AU Distance Education Application Form

Candidates have to apply Offline mode only for the distance education courses. The application form will be available on the official website of the Andhra University. 

• Go to the University website and select the application form link for the course you are applying.
• Take a print out of the application form and fill it with required information.
• Pay the fee INR 400 /- as Demand Draft or S.D.E 
• Attach Degree/Provisional Certificate of the Previous examination passed, two recent Passport size Photographs, Receipt of Payment of Fee, Date of Birth extract, Identity Card and duly filled three address slip.
• Send the application form along with the documents and DEmand Draft in favour of “Registrar, Andhra University payable at Visakhapatnam” to the school address.

AU Distance Education Admission Fee

Candidates are requested to pay the admission fee as Demand Draft or S.D.E. and send it to the University by registered post. Based on the course chosen by the candidates the AU Distance Education fee structure varies.

• For BA courses, candidates have to pay INR 7100/- 
• Fee for B.Com courses is INR 8,400/- and for B.Com Customer Service Management is INR 60,000/-
• For MA courses is INR 8,000/- and for M.Sc courses is INR 25,000/-
• Fee for 6 month Certification courses is INR 2,500/-

Entrance Exams Accepted by AU Distance Education

For admission at Andhra University Distance Education school, candidates should have appear ICET or Andhra University Entrance Test.

• For MBA and MCA admission, candidates should appear ICET or  MA / MCA Entrance test conducted by the Andhra University.
• BA, B.com and Certification courses admission is based on the BA / B.Com Entrance Test conducted by the SDE.
• For B.Ed admission candidates have to appear SDE B.Ed entrance test or ED - CET 2024.

AU Distance Education Common Entrance Exam

The School of Distance Education will conduct a BA / B.Com Entrance Test for the BA and B.Com admission, MBA / MCA Entrance Test for MBA and MCA admission and B.Ed Entrance Test for B.Ed admission.

• There is no minimum qualification to apply for BA / B.Com Entrance Test. Candidates should complete 18 years of age on 1-11-2024 to apply. 
• Any Graduates with 50% marks (For SC / ST candidates minimum marks is 45%) can apply for MBA / MCA admission.
• For B.Ed Entrance Test, candidates should have a graduation in any stream from AU or any other university with 50% marks (40% marks for SC / ST / BC / PWD candidates) with TTC / D.Ed / DELED / LPT /DPED / BPED / Montessori / Pre - Primary Teacher Training Certificate / Any NCTE recognised Teacher Training Certificate and having a bonafide minimum 2 years of Teaching Experiences in Government or Government recognised primary / upper - primary schools or educational institutions.

AU Distance Education Common Entrance Exam Application Form

Candidates can download application form online or purchase direct to the school office. The Entrance Exam application forms are different based on the courses and application fee also different.  

• Candidates can download the application form online from the SDE website.
• Application form fee for BA / B.Com courses is INR 225/- (Online application form).Candidates can buy application form from school paying 200/- rupees.
• For MBA / MCA / B.Ed  Entrance Examination application fee is INR 500/- 
• Download the application form from the official website of SDE and fill it with required information.
• Pay the application fee as Demand Draft in favour of the “Registrar, Andhra University payable at Visakhapatnam”.
• Send the application form and DD along with one self addressed envelope to the AU SDE Office.

AU Distance Education UG Admission 2024

The school offers Undergraduate courses  BA, B.Com in both English and Telugu medium and B.Com Customer Service Management in English medium. AU Distance Education PG Admission 2024

SDE offers distance education in the courses of M.Com, MA in English, Hindi, Telugu, History, Economics, Politics, Public Administration, Sociology, Philosophy and Mathematics, MSc in Psychology, Botany, Organic Chemistry, Zoology and Physics specialisations. AU Distance Education Diploma Admission 2024

The School offers two years Diploma in Music and six months Diploma in Spoken Hindi and Translation. The Admission for the courses will be based on the qualifications of the candidates.

AU Distance Education Diploma Eligibility

The Andhra University, School of Distance Education admission for Diploma courses is made on the basis of the performance in intermediate level examination or any equivalent examination.

AU Distance Education PG Diploma Admission 2024

The SDE offers 10 different Post Graduate Diploma courses. Candidates do not need to attend any entrance exams for distant PG Diploma courses. The admission will be based on the marks obtained in the Degree level.

The school offers some Certificate courses in Office Automation & Accounting, Office Automation & Multimedia Technologies and Office Automation & Internet Technologies.

These are six months duration courses and taught in English medium only. For the admission of Certification courses candidates have to qualify an Entrance Test conducted by the SDE or any other university.

  - The School of Distance Education fee for MA courses is INR 8,000/- and M.Sc courses is INR 25,000/-

• What is the last date to apply for BA Entrance examination without penalty?
  - Candidates can apply for BA / B.Com Entrance Examination before 16 /11 / 2024 without penalty. Last date for with penalty is 18 / 11 / 2024.

• What is the penal fee, if the tuition fee is not paid on or before the last date?
  - Ater due date candidates have to pay 50/- rupees for two months. After two months the penal fee will be INR 200/- plus.

• How to download UG Application form online?
  - Log in to the official website of SDE and select the relevant link for UG Application form. Take a print out of the application form and fill it.
