Baba Raghav Das Medical College was established in November of 1969. Late Shri Chandra Bhanu Gupta laid the foundation stone. It was named after Baba Raghav Das, a freedom fighter and close associate of Mahatma Gandhi and Acharya Vinoba Bhave, a significant Sarvoday Leader in this area. On August 7, 1972, the first batch of MBBS students was admitted.

Hostels- Boys and girls have their own dorms at BRD Medical College. The hostels offer a variety of amenities to ensure that students have a pleasant stay.
