Ballari Institute of Technology and Management (BITM) Infrastructure: Library, Hostel, Labs, Auditorium, Cafeteria & Other Facilities

Ballari Institute of Technology and Management, [BITM] Bellary offers modern amenities to students for a better learning experience. The campus is equipped with a library, lab, hostel, parking, etc. Further details regarding the BITM Bellary infrastructure are given below.

Library: A barcoded system is used to issue books. The borrower is responsible for replacing lost books. The old books are gradually being replaced. During the semester vacations, the books that students have damaged are re-bound. The BITM Bellary library server is regularly backed up, and stock verification is performed once a year.

Sports: Sports and games are conducted by the physical director, who also maintains the sports facility, including stock verification, according to the timetable in BITM Bellary. If any damage is discovered, it is logged in the register and is subject to further action, including replacement.

Classrooms: Every day, the classroom benches and windows are washed and wiped, and there is excellent cross ventilation and ergonomically built seating. Any damage to the items is brought to the attention of the HOD by the class mentor.

Portable Water Supply: BITM Bellary facilities include RO systems with 500 LPH (05 units), 50 LPH (10 units), and 41 drinking water coolers installed in all buildings and are under AMC.

Sewage Treatment: The Karnataka Pollution Control Board has approved a 325 KLD sewage treatment plant on campus. The water from the sewage treatment plant is used for gardening.

Solid Waste Management: The institution's moist and dry garbage is sorted and collected on campus. The same is brought to the corporation's segregation yard for scientific disposal through the institute's "Swachh Bharat" Vehicle.

Electricity: GESCOM provides HT (11KV) service to the institute. The substation includes two transformers, each with a capacity of 250 and 100 KVA, operating at 11/440 volts and 50 cycles. Qualified electrical personnel manages the substation around the clock. Rooftop solar generation with a capacity of 350 KW is coordinated with the main grid at the institution. Solar power plants provide 75 percent of the required electricity. Two DG generators with 250 and 200 kVA provide additional power backup. UPS systems ranging from 30 kVA to 5 kVA are installed in labs.

E-Waste Disposal: All e-waste is collected and disposed of by a Karnataka Pollution Control Board-approved E-waste collector in accordance with the CPCB's E-Waste (Management and Handling) Rules, 2011.

Budget & Security: Equipment, vehicles, campus, building & electrical upkeep, and three-tier security with CCTV are all adequately funded.

Parking: Institution has a separate and spacious parking area for four-wheelers & two-wheelers.
