Birjhora Mahavidyalaya started its long journey on 1st September 1986, along with the establishment of the college, the Birjhora Mahavidyalaya library came in to existence. It was initiated with the books donated by different well wishers of greater Bongaigaon. Mr.Manabendra Das, Lecturer in Mathametics was then given the additional charge of the Library in its infancy period. Mr. Basanta Kr. Sarma, MA, BLISc took the responsibility of the Library on 30th November,1990 as the permanent Librarian.
At present a permanent Library in the first floor of a RCC building of about 1800 sq. feet, with a well furnished Library Reading Room. At present, it has a capacity to accommodate about 100 students at a time. Computerization of the Library is in progress, data entry is almost completed. For Library automation, a recognised Software S O U L is installed. INFLIBNET (Information and Library Network) Center has provided this most popular and user friendly Software to the institution. Internet connectivity is already available in the Library. Besides this, the Library provides many periodicals, Journals, News papers, Booklets, Government Reports etc. Collections of various Encyclopedias and reference books not only enhance the inner beauty of the Library but also greatly benefited the teachers and students community.
Campus :-
The college is located in Bongaigaon town. The college campus is surrounded by picturesque landscape and vast area to form its campus. The entire campus gets covered with lush green during the four seasons with trees all around. The campus presents a unique atmosphere and ideal educational environment for students and teachers for all round development.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : Birjhora Mahavidyalaya provides only girls' hostel and they provide it within budget. Lots of PGs are available near the college with the cost of 4000 per month. Food facility are also good. Veg and non-veg all kinds of foods are there and make comfortable to everyone and price is not so high. Quality classrooms, Labs, Libraries also there with. But Wi-Fi facility is not there. But it will starts soon.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : Birjhora Mahavidyalaya comes under Guwahati University in the state of Assam. It is one of the best science college in Assam. The college provides all the related courses basically related to science background. The eligibility and criteria is HS pass with 60% marks in HS. No entrance examination. Typical cut-offs for my course in 2012 is 50% and now it increased to 60%.
Placements & Internships : In 2015 I have done an internship in South Asian International News for two months and I had a great experience there. I learned a lot of things there regarding writing and editing. My internship stipend was Rs. 5500.
Fees & Scholarships : Guwahati University provides scholarship if a student scores 85% in his/her academic year. And moreover, the fee is very basic and comfortable for the level of students so that everybody gets through their courses easily.
Clubs & Associations : Students have a great unity among them on campus. College fest and cultural program are organised every year and different times of sports activities are also held so that every students can participate there and showcase their talent. In general, college life is good and awesome in Birjhora Mahavidyalaya.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There is 1 hostel for girls and 1 hostel for boys are present at Birjhora Mahavidyalaya. The classrooms need to be developed and the library facility is good. There is no wifi facility available on the campus.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : The eligibility criteria for getting admission in Birjhora Mahavidyalaya is to pass the 12th with a good percentage of marks. I got admission in this college based on the OBC quota.
