Located in Krishnarajapuram, Bangalore, Cambridge Institute of Technology is one of the private Engineering colleges in the city. It is a moderate to good college that offers Engineering programs in different fields. Students who graduated from the institute have been vocal about the improvements they like to see on the campus, like the facilities in labs.

Regarding placements, CIT has been of little help for the students, except for those who completed Computer Science Engineering. Hence, only the CSE department is said to have a beneficial outcome after the course completion. 

Cambridge Institute has five other campuses besides its 16-acre main campus for the Engineering programs. They offer various degree programs, including PU, undergraduate, MBA/MCA, and doctoral programs. As it is close to the city's main areas, students find it easy to commute to the college daily.

The institute only has the traditional branches for Engineering, making it outdated, and the lack of new and improved lab equipment makes it difficult for new students to have educational experience with the advanced technology.

Active since 2007, the CIT library is spanned across 25,000 sq. ft with an updated collection of 29,976 books and 400 bound volumes. Students can also refer to 1681 project reports and 45 print journals for their research purposes. Apart from hardcopies, the library also comprises an Information Centre to provide digital content, which includes 2387 CDs/DVDs and 7767 question paper PDF files. 

With 250 seating arrangements, students can use the silence and peace available in the library to focus on their studies.

Laboratories

Practical knowledge is an important component in studying Science subjects. Hence, CIT has set up well-equipped laboratories in each department with updated features. Students can understand different concepts and topics deeply through these facilities. 

Accommodation in Campus

CIT has two blocks of hostels, separately for boys and girls. These hostels are comfortable enough to accommodate 400 students. Students are served timely meals in a huge mess hall. The institute has pledged to offer hygiene and proper food to its students.

As an assurance to the parents, the hostels have a proper set of rules and regulations for the inmates of the hostels, with well-experienced security guards and wardens taking care of the students.

Transportation

Day scholars who hail from the city are provided with a transportation facility that ensures a safe commute to the campus with no issues. The institute increases the number of buses on the road based on the number of students who opt for transportation.

CIT Canteens

The institute has built several cafeterias and canteens across the campus to enhance the college experience for students to hang out with friends and have fun. Clean and well-maintained, the canteens avail of many types of food items and juices, prepared freshly every day.

The institute also has an assigned gym coach, who is part of the sports department. CIT Overview

Overall, Cambridge Institute of Technology is a good option among the private colleges in Bangalore. However, there is room for improvement in different aspects of the college, such as the infrastructure of the laboratories and other facilities. This institute is not recommended as the best option, but it offers good education in Computer Science Engineering and other areas.
