Chandragupt Institute of Management (CIMP) was established in 2008. CIMP is committed to achieving excellence while establishing an identity for itself as a leader in management education and research both nationally and Internationally. Both NBA (National Board of Accreditation) and AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) clearance and accreditation are held by the institute. The institute offers PGDM, EFPM, and FPM courses.

As per the NIRF Rankings 2024, CIMP Patna falls in the rank band of (101-125) in the management category. The institute has acquired approval from both AIU and AICTE. It has been accredited by the NBA.

CIMP Patna collaborates with Lancashire Business School UK to encourage student research in corporate social responsibility. Also, the institute collaborates with EGADE Business School, Mexico, to help conduct social and economic research between developing nations.
