The Charotar University of Science and Technology [CHARUSAT] started its journey with the name Education Campus - Changa in the year 2000. It started with the establishment of the Charotar Institute of Technology. The University is approved by AICTE, NBA, PCI, and INC. It is accreditated by NAAC with an A grade. The University has a campus spread in an area of 105 acres which also houses hostels for boys and girls. The University provides various placement opportunities as well. 

The university offers 64 programs from UG to Ph.D. under the tutelage of 9 Institutes and 6 Faculties. The CHARUSAT University Fee Structure differs according to the courses offered under a program. Faculty Members and Students of CHARUSAT also hold 5 Patents and 14 more are filed and presently, 232 Research Scholars are pursuing their Ph.D. Charotar University is empowered to grant degrees under Section 22 of the UGC Act, 1956. 

The University has a dedicated R&D Centre, Space Technology Centre, and the Rural Education Program for research and social responsibility. CHARUSAT University holds 5 patents and 14 more are to be filled. It follows a Credit and Grading System for Teaching, Learning, and Evaluation. The students of the university are subjected to intensive international exposure as it has networked with many reputed organizations.
