Placements & Internships :
The college does not provide any internships, they can be done if we are personally getting it from outside. Internships were going to be a compulsory part of our curriculum but they are still working on it. Based on what we have heard from our seniors, in order to be a part of an internship which you managed to get personally, it affects your attendance percentage and the college would be hesitant to let you go for it. The alumni network is not very strong either. They do show up on certain occasions to talk about their share of experience in the college while they were students.
Entrance Exams & Admissions :
There were no hard and complicated procedures involved throughout the application process. Applicants just need to fill up the form and based on eligibility (I.e., 50% in 12th board exams) they get back to them.
Fees & Scholarships :
The fee ranges from 90,000-1,30,000, based on the course specialisation you opt for. They offer 4 specialisations in BCom itself- BCom general, BCom Hons, BCom Hons in international business and finance, BCom Hons in international accounting and finance. As far as I am aware, there were no students who received scholarship unless they studied higher secondary in their institution with a fee exemption of 10,000-20,000.
Academics & Faculty :
Classes start from 8:30 and go on till 12:45. After that the classes are online. They are mostly common core subjects. The quality of teaching is dependant on the particular faculty. Some are very cooperative and good at teaching whereas some teachers just don’t show up for many classes and the course syllabus stays due until a day or two before the commencement of exams. They do not provide notes or study materials as soon as they finish a module but only few days before exams, leaving no time for us to prepare thoroughly that too after constantly requesting for it. Even the exam timetable gets published 2-3 days prior to the first exam.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities :
Each campus has a hostel, some are within the campus and some near the campus but the management themselves do not recommend staying there for some reason. There are PGs around with decent costs but some are below average. Infrastructure of the college also is below average with no basic amenities. Only the classrooms are good and there are hardly any basic facilities which are operational or even unavailability in certain cases. Their hostels cost 69,000 for girls and 72,000 for boys per annum.
Clubs & Associations :
There are a good number of clubs under each schools of the university. The information system is a little poor which makes more than half of the students unaware of the campus life. Certain events do take place and everyone is given the word but they are not grand enough or even not upto the standard. College life in general is pretty decent. There are good places around the campus but nothing inside it.
