Bangalore University provides scholarships to economically weak students. Scholarships are based on merit, aid fund, etc. The scholarships available for BU students are as follows

Scholarship Description
Government of India Post-matric Scholarship Karnataka students belonging to the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes whose parent’s annual income is less than or equal to INR 2.5 Lacs
Minorities Scholarships The candidates belonging to minorities (i.e., Muslims, Christians, Buddhists, Sikhs, Anglo-Indians, Jains) whose parents’ income is less than INR 44,500 are eligible for Encouragement Fund/ Fees reimbursement.
Post-Graduate Indira Gandhi Scholarship This scholarship is administered by the University Grants Commission (UGC). This will be granted to female students who are single girl children of their parents. The awardee will be given INR 500 per month for 10 months of each year. 
Subject Scholarship  The University has granted one scholarship for each class for the students who scored the highest marks in the previous qualifying examination. These carry free-ship exempting them from payment of tuition and lab fees only, plus a sum of INR 600 is given. 
Hon’ble Vice Chancellor’s Merit Scholarship The scholarship is for meritorious students (1st to 5th Ranks) who come under the Below Poverty Line as defined by the Government of Karnataka. The scholarship amounts to INR 500 each per month for 10 months for each year, to each Department of Bangalore University.
Special Scholarship Special Scholarships for Children of Government Employees/University Employees who die in harness, administered by the Director of Collegiate Education or the University as the case may be
