How to Calculate NATA Merit Rank 2024?: The NATA merit rank can be calculated by first dividing your score of NATA by two, adding your class 12 board exam percentage (out of 100) to it and then dividing the total by two. 

NATA or the National Aptitude Test in Architecture is conducted by the Council of Architecture (CoA) for admission to undergraduate architecture programmes (B.Arch). NATA 2024 was conducted on the 6th and 7th of July 2024, and the NATA results 2024 will be out soon.

How to Calculate NATA Merit Rank 2024? 

The NATA merit rank of a candidate is the position a candidate has secured among the candidates who have taken the exam. The higher the position in the merit list, the higher the chances of the candidate’s admission. 

Here’s how to calculate the NATA merit score which decides the merit rank is calculated as follows:

1. Divide the NATA score the candidate has secured by two, that is, half of the total NATA score 
2. Now, calculate the board percentage out of 100. 
3. Add half of the total NATA score and the board percentage. 
4. Divide the added total by 2. 
5. The result is the merit score of the candidate. 

The candidate with a higher merit score ranks higher on the merit list.

Tie Breaking Criteria for NATA Merit Rank 2024

Two or more people may hold the same marks and cutoffs and compete for the same merit rank. In such instances, the following NATA tie-breaker criteria will decide which candidate will keep the higher NATA merit rank:

• Overall marks obtained in Mathematics.
• Less wrong answers in the Mathematics section.
• Overall marks in the General Aptitude Test.
• Less wrong answers in the General Aptitude Test.
• Date of Birth- one who has an early birth date will be considered.
• If a tie still exists after applying the standard as mentioned earlier, the same rank will be allotted to the respective candidates.

NATA 2024 Results Details

The NATA exam for the year 2024 was conducted in three phases. The results for NATA Phase 3 will be released on July 18, 2024, and the results can be downloaded from the official website. The results of NATA will be available as scorecards. 

Steps to Download NATA 2024 Results

The NATA 2024 results will be declared for the 3rd phase of the exam. The following are the steps applicants can follow to check and download their NATA 2024 results. 

• Go to the official website of NATA 2024.
• Scroll down and click the option 'Click Here to Generate the Scorecard'.
• Then, carefully read the instructions mentioned there and fill in the necessary details. 
• After giving the correct credentials and submitting it, the result can be accessed.
• Now, click the 'Download' button at the bottom to download the result. The resulting scorecard will be downloaded.

The result of the candidate who has written the exam more than once, the previously generated score will also be displayed. Candidates need to remember that the score obtained in the NATA 2024 examination result will be valid for only 12 months since the applicant has written the exam.

NATA Cutoff 2024

The NATA cutoffs 2024 will be released after the declaration of results on 18th July 2024. The cutoffs set by the official authority must be met by the candidates to be considered eligible for admission to the B.Arch programmes:

1. The candidate must score the minimum qualifying cutoff set to be eligible for admission in general. 
2. The candidate must meet the cutoffs the individual participating institutes set for themselves. Only when this cutoff is met, the candidate will be considered for admission to that particular institute.

The general qualifying cutoff and the minimum cutoff set for the participating institutes are declared on the official website after the announcement of the results. The steps to check the same is given as follows.

• Click on the NATA cut-off link on the homepage. 
• The cut-off for the participating institutes and programmes under different categories will be available in PDF format.
• Download the PDF and save it for future reference.

NATA Merit List 2024

The NATA merit rank list will be published on the official website after the results are out. It will contain the names of the candidates who have qualified for admission into Architecture courses in various participating institutions.

The merit list is prepared based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the NATA exam.
