The KCET exam 2025 is scheduled to be held on Apr 16 and 17, 2025 in pen and paper mode. The Karnataka Examination Authority has released guideline for KCET document verification process which include requirements to get a claim certificate along with the document verification dates for each clause code.
The KCET registration deadline has been extended until Feb 24, 2025 without a late fee. Students must submit their KCET application form in the official website by filling the required information. The KCET admit card will be released on Apr 07, 2025 in the official website.
KCET 2025 Document Verification
The Karnataka Examination Authority has released document verification guidelines for KCET 2025 examination as the registrations are ongoing. The KCET 2025 application process will conclude on Feb 24, 2025 as per the recent notification released by KEA in the official website at kea.kar.nic.in.
The Karnataka Common Entrance Test is conducted for admissions into admissions in engineering, medical and other professional courses in Karnataka. Candidates are required to submit certain documents for verification during the application process to appear for the KCET 2025 examination.
Important Guidelines for KCET Document Verification
The important guidelines for the KCET document verification has been released by the authorities. As per the notice the candidates with verified SATS records need no further verification and can consider their application as accepted.
Given below are the KCET verification guidelines for different clause:
- Students who have claimed clause code “A” and have not studied in the Kannada medium from Class 1 to 10, or under Rural, Religious, or Linguistic Minority reservations will have their 7 year study period verified through SATS and will receive a claim certificate. Those candidates are not required to visit any college or institution for document verification and can consider the application as accepted directly
- Students who have claimed clause code “A” and have studied for 10 years in Kannada medium from Class 1 to 10, or under Rural, Religious, or Linguistic Minority reservations will receive their claim certificate as either claim verified or claim not verified. Those candidates must visit the nearest Government PU College or the PUC/12th-grade institution to get their documents verified as per the KEA prescribed format.
- For the remaining candidates who have claimed clause code ‘B', 'C', 'D', 'I', 'J', 'K', 'L', 'M', 'N the document verification schedule will be released soon by the authorities in the official website.
- For candidates applying under clause code 'E', 'F', 'G', 'H', 'O' must submit their documents in the respective PU college for verification. However, documents related to Defence, Ex-Defence, CAPF, Ex-CAPF must be submitted at KEA later for verification
KCET Online Verification for Caste and Income Certificates
The KEA has made arrangements for the online verification of Income and Caste certificates directly approved by the principle of the respective colleges. The authorities has warned candidates against forgery or submission of fake documents. Fake or forged documents will lead to disqualification and legal action as per the authorities.
The caste and the income certificates will be verified online using the RD numbers hence candidates must ensure they enter the correct number without any mistake to avoid any discrepancies. Once verified, the application status will be updated by the college principle.
