  • Candidates must have passed 12th Std. / Diploma in Agriculture.
  • Candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% in their 12th/Diploma in Agriculture.

 Eligibility criteria for MBA, M.Sc:

  • Candidates must obtain a Bachelor's Degree from a recognised University.
  • The candidate must have secured at least 50% marks in aggregate at Bachelor's level.

Application Process at College of Agriculture, [CA] Nagpur

Application Process for B.Sc, B.Tech, MBA, M.Sc:

  • The candidates should read the prospectus carefully before filling the application form.
  • The prospectus will be available on cash or Demand Draft of Rs. 100/- payable at State Bank of India, PDKV branch, Akola in favour of Project Director, COA and Head, Department of Agronomy, Dr.PDKV., Akola – 444104.
  • The application form should be signed by the candidate and duly filled application along with required attested documents viz, Mark sheet of 12th Standard / Diploma in Agriculture, leaving certificate, 7/12 form, Caste certificate issued by competent authority.
  • Application form completed in all respect and received on or before the last date of submission shall only be considered for admission.

Admission Process at College of Agriculture, [CA] Nagpur

Admission Process for B.Sc, B.Tech, MBA, M.Sc:

  • Candidates will be admitted on the basis of “First Come First Serve”.
  • Financial concession/seat reservation offered by the Govt. of Maharashtra to girl/boys students from various reserved category shall not be applicable as the course is on a non-grant basis.
  • At the time of admission, physical verification of the original certificate and documents will be done.
  • If it is noticed that the candidate has enclosed false document and unable to pay course fee in one instalment, then she/he shall not be entitled to the admission in the said course.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : There was no entrance exam at College of Agriculture. Admissions were made based on merit at HSC. Seats were filled accordingly. There was an additional weightage for candidates bearing land or fisheries. Spot admission procedure is also available at the end of all the rounds.

Placements & Internships : There is an internship in 7th semester called RAWE programme College of Agriculture There is also a placement cell. Here campus interviews are held for pass out students.

Fees & Scholarships : Fee is reasonable as it's a government college. Per year it may cost 10,000 rupees. Scholarships are given to students of reserved category only.

Academics & Faculty : It's a historical college established in 1906 before independence. Quality and method of teaching is average at College of Agriculture. Examinations are held regularly and strictly for all semesters. Overall experience is not much satisfactory.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There are two hostels for boys and girls each at College of Agriculture Facilities are more for girls relatively. Since the college comes under archaeological department of India. No great changes can be done in the building. Infrastructure is comfortable with tables and benches. E-teaching facility is also available. The college itself offers PG courses. Also it has high input capacity for PG students.

Clubs & Associations : College itself owns a zoopark called maharaja Bagh. Youth fest is celebrated every year at College of Agriculture. Other college events like shiv jayanti is enthusiastically celebrated every year. But gathering and study tours are not taken up by the college. Although students are willing to attend classes taking least number of leave, lectures are not taken regularly. Thus life in this college is boring.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The eligibility criteria for joining College of Agriculture is clearing the MH CET exam. The cut-off may varies every year.
