Creative Hut Institute of Photography was founded in 2007. The campus is located in Kottayam. It is the first and the only residential Photography college in India. The notable feature of the institute is that it provides unique photography education, practical knowledge, and expertise to the students for a better future career in Photography and Cinematography. The courses offered by Creative Hut Institute are affiliated with the Media and Entertainment Skills Council under Skill India (NSQF) and Kerala Government Technical Examination in Photography.

The Placement cell at Creative Hut Institute of Photography aims to encourage and support its graduating students to achieve the best possible working opportunities in the industry. The major role of the placement cell at the Institute is that it is engaged in taking the first and initial steps for the placement of every student and guides them with the necessary criteria for their future careers. The institute doesn't offer any jobs in particular but provides career guidance to the students.
