Hostel

Doon Group of Colleges provides magnificent residential facilities offering a comprehensive range of facilities for the College students, separately for boys and girls. We understand that most of our students are moving away from home for the first time, so we strive to make the transition as smooth as possible by providing comfortable, safe and homely set-up within hostel. All the rooms have been designed to provide adequate moving space and ample air and light conditions. The group has six spacious, well-designed and properly furnished separate hostels for boys and girls. The hostels have the capacity to comfortably accommodate over 1600 students. Every effort is made that the hostellers get a homely ambience by providing them a home away from home.

Each hostel room is well furnished with bed, study table, and wardrobes. Each hostel has separate common rooms with color television. Faculty and staff members from outside Dehradun can also reside in the hostels. All the facilities ensure a comfortable living and healthy working environment throughout the students stay. A well balanced and nutritious vegetarian and non vegetarian food is provided for the students.

Library

Libraries are centrally situated inside the campus of all the colleges. They have more than fifteen thousand books written by Indian and foreign authors on different subjects as per the syllabus issued by the University. National Newspapers in Hindi and English are subscribed in the libraries. Libraries also subscribe important News Magazines and professional journals of repute. Documentation Unit files special features on various subjects. Keeping in view advanced pattern of learning, collection of some important films concerning different subjects is kept in the libraries. Libraries also remain open on holidays. Open self-system is maintained and students are free to get the books issued from the library. Students are also encouraged to use library facilities during their free periods. All the libraries are fully computerized.

Computer Lab

Computer Lab with P-IV generation computers having high processing capability and Internet facility is available in the colleges. Students are encouraged to avail the Internet facility.

Hostel

Separate hostel facility is available for boys and girls. The rooms are spacious and well furnished. Every hostel has a common room provided with TV, indoor games and phone. Water purifier systems are installed and special care is being taken with respect to health and hygiene. A visit by a Physician is undertaken for medical check up regularly.

Canteen/ Cafeteria

The colleges separately houses canteen facilities to provide refreshment to the students. Students find it the most suitable place to relax and discuss topics of their interest during the leisure time.

We have cafeteria with adequate seating capacity for students. The cafeteria provides hygienic and nutritious eatables for the Faculty and Students at reasonable price.

Transportation

The college has its own fleet of buses which punctually brings students from different corners of the city to the college and hostels at nominal cost. At present it owns 8 buses, which are likely to be increased as per requirement.Colleges have their own fleet of buses for providing smooth and comfortable conveyance facilities to the students. Regular tours and excursions are being undertaken to refresh the minds of the students.

ATM

To make banking easier for the students, 24 hours ATM facility has been provided inside the premises of the college. Money transactions between the parents and their children are carried out with ease.

Wi-Fi

The Doon Group of Institutions is a fine ensemble in terms of the latest networking and wifi Infrastructure as well as equipment made available to students. This allows learning to move outside the classrooms where students can discuss, learn and grow.

Study visits

We believe, fervently that education does not begin and end at the classroom and that many of the best lessons are learned when students test themselves in the lap of nature. For this reason, we arrange the study trips for the students each year. These aim to provide each student a safe carefully supervised challenge in which each one can test his or her knowledge in the field. It provides a valuable opportunity to discover the realities and practices of the profession the students are aiming for.
