Placements & Internships : The ICFAI University, Dehradun gives utmost importance to assist students in getting suitable placements after successful completion of the program. Training and Placement The training and placement wing at the University looks after the training and placement activities on a continuing basis. Staffed by senior professionals and placement executives, the team initiates and maintains the University-Industry dialogue and manages the summer internship program and final placement activities. The team evaluates student performance levels and ensures relevant preparation for their corporate placements. Working both at the supply and demand sides of the placement, the team plays the vital intermediary role of matching academic excellence and industry expectations and counseling the students appropriately. A Joint Effort The University believes that the entire placement exercise is a joint effort between the University and the students. While the University provides guidance, support, and network with potential employers, the students have the responsibility to put in the maximum possible efforts to obtain suitable placements. Placements depend upon not only the performance of student at degree level but also on previous academic record.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : BA-LL.B (Hons.) Program The BA-LL.B (Hons.) The program is offered by The ICFAI Law School. Students apart from getting enriched with law subjects are also exposed to various Arts disciplines. Duration: Five years Eligibility Pass in 10+2 or equivalent with 50% and above aggregate marks in any discipline (best of the 5 subjects including English). A score of Common Law Admission Test (CLAT)/ Law School Admission Test LSAT will be given weight. Program Structure BA-LL.B(Hons.) is 5 years integrated program spread over 10 semesters. The Program consists of law and humanities courses. It also includes Clinical, Electives, Honors courses, and Legal Internships.

Merit Scholarships The ICFAI University, Dehradun (IUD) offers merit scholarships to students pursuing the UG & PG programs. These scholarships are based on past academic record and semester-wise performance. A. Merit Scholarships based on past academic record: Percentage of marks achieved in Class XII (or equivalent) for UG programs and graduation for PG programs will decide the amount of scholarship. The scholarship amount is equally distributed across all the semesters. The scholarship will continue semester after semester only on maintaining a minimum 6.0 GPA in the previous semester. The details are presented in the following table: A. College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : Campus and Infrastructure Campus and Infrastructure The University has a lush green campus spread over 25 acres at Selaqui, Dehradun. It has around 2.3 lakhs sq.ft. of built-up area with academic blocks, workshops, laboratories, faculty rooms, auditorium, seminar halls, computer labs with a computing facility, library, canteen, sports and recreation facilities. The campus also provides latest teaching aids and is Wi-Fi eanbled. IUD is being widely recognized as an institution devoted to quality research and teaching. IUD gives utmost importance to Industry-University interface. The university believes in creating and disseminating knowledge and skills in core and frontier areas through innovative educational programs, research, consulting and publishing and developing a high level of competence and a deep sense of ethics and commitment to the code of professional conduct. A number of full-time campuses based educational programs are offered in Management, Science, and Technology, Education, and Law at Bachelor, Master and at Ph.D. level. Library Facilities The University has a well-stocked library containing reference materials, Indian and International books and magazines. Subscription to industry information database ensures that extensive research resources and publication with search facilities are available to students and faculty. In addition, the library contains directories, industry reports and statistical compilations that provide timely and concise information or project work. The library facilities are open to all student and faculty members and are continuously updated with the latest books and journals. Consequently, it has deployed modern IT hardware, software on campus. Keeping the rapid obsolescence of IT hardware, software, and technologies in mind. IUD constantly upgrades its IT infrastructure. The IUD campus has added one computer lab which is used for ANSYS & Pro-E software. The faculty used the computing facilities for teaching and research, while the staff uses IT for enhancing the productivity of their operation and providing superior services to the students, faculty and other staff members. The computers on the IUD campus are networked and have e-mail and intranet facilities. The computers provided to the faculty and staff have been provided with standard office productivity software and antivirus. Intranet: IUD, with its Wi-Fi, enabled campus, uses IT for planning and dissemination of information. In the last few months, it has developed and Intranet for organizing its operations more effectively and efficiently. Its help provides better services to students and better utilization of the university resources. Computing Facilities: The university has more than 350 Personal computers - with Pentium Core i5, Core 2 Duo, AMD Athlon and dual core processors – and services of IBM, HCL & SUN make. The other hardware in the computer centers of the IUD campus includes CD Writers, Data Modems, Scanners, Network Printers, and LaserJet Printers. The operating systems used on the IUD campus are Windows 7, Windows 2003, Windows XP, Windows 2000 Professional, Red Hat Linux 6.5 and Solaris. The application software available on the IUD Campus includes Office XP, Office 2003, Office 2007, Acrobat Reader 6.0, WinZip 8.0, FrontPage 2003, Turbo c/c++, Java 2.0 Visual Basic 6.0, Oracle 10g server and client, SQL Server and client IBM DB2, IBM web sphere, Adobe Photoshop, Page Maker, Macro Media Flash, Oracle ERP application server, Tally, and Focus. IUD also has statistical/simulation software tools like SPSS which student and faculty are using for their research and analysis work. Students, faculty, and staff are given access to the computing facilities. New Technology Infrastructure: The university has Wi-Fi connectivity on the campus. Students have the options of using internet access anywhere on the campus. The IT labs are equipped with the latest software and hardware. The university has 15 Mbps internet bandwidth for the use of students, faculty, and staff. The internet facility has been provided to all the students for their academic and researches work. Computers are provided to all teaching staff in their rooms. This year, 82 Lenovo desktops (Processors: core i5, RAM: 4GB, HDD, 500GB ) with the latest software were procured for the IT lab, faculty and staff.155 desktops were upgraded and the Wi-Fi connectivity too was upgraded with improved bandwidth. Photocopy and Printing Facilities: IUD provides photocopying and printing facilities both for the student and for the faculty staff. A separate facility is provided for the students within the IUD campus. Similarly, students and faculty also have been accessing to document scanning and CD writing facilities. Health Centre: First Aid room and one ambulance are functional at the campus. A medical practitioner visits the University regularly and remains available thrice a week. During 2001-14 more than seven hundred students and staff visited the health center. Placements Cell Full-time placements cells are in place to look after the placements activates and summer internship programs of the students across all disciplines. 

Clubs & Associations : Co-curricular Activities Emphasis is laid on the need to balance in-class and out-of-class life. The students work hard in class, but they will also utilize energy for diverse activities such as organizing seminars on contemporary legal issues, publishing in-house magazines, organizing guest lectures, participating in inter and intra-law college competitions. Intercollege meets will be organized which offer an opportunity to develop closer interaction and friendship among the legal fraternity.
