Doon university was set up in 2005 by the Government of Uttarakhand and is located in the foothills of Shivaliks. It offers various multi-disciplinary programmes at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels in diverse streams of education, such as science, mass communication, languages, social sciences, management, technology and design. The university is accredited by NAAC. It is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

The faculty at the university is very active, and dedicated, and has a strong academic record. Doon University Admission

Doon University admission procedure for the session 2024 has started for various UG, PG and Doctorate level courses. Interested students can register on the official website of DU for the admission process. The university accepts merit scores obtained in the entrance exam organized by the university and also some other entrance exams are also accepted.

Doon University Eligibility Criteria

Doon University has set different criteria for admission to different courses. The candidate must meet the basic eligibility for getting admission to DU. The basic criteria for some courses are as follows:

BA Eligibility Criteria

• 12th with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognised board (45% for SC/ST candidates).
• Candidates will have to appear for the Doon University Entrance examination and selection is based on merit and the marks scored by the candidate in the entrance exam. 

MBA Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates should have a Graduation degree in any subject from a recognized university established/approved by UGC with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST from Uttarakhand).
• Candidates have to appear for either CAT or MAT entrance exams and have a valid scorecard. And the selected candidates have to go through group discussions and personal interviews.
• Final admission is given on the aggregate marks obtained in all three.

PhD Eligibility Criteria

• The candidates should have obtained an M.Sc./MCA/M.Phil./M.Tech. degree or equivalent qualification from any recognized university in respective subjects.
• The seats will be filled through the entrance test.
• Admission in the PhD program is based on the merit list followed by an interview.

The students have to appear in the entrance test and score the basic cut-off marks to be eligible for admission to the university.
