DHSGSU(A Central University), formerly the University of Saugor, was established on 18th July 1946 by Dr. Sir Hari Singh Gour. The university has 175 affiliated colleges. DHSGSU admission 2022-2023 is ongoing. Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya Sagar offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral courses. It accepts CUET for admission of BA, B.Sc, M.Tech, M.Sc courses. The CUET UG results are out. The admissions and counseling process for CUET-qualified students will begin soon. Moreover, the CUET PG 2022 exam ended on September 11, 2022.

DHSGSU has 36 University teaching departments, 9 faculties, and 175 affiliated colleges covering 6 revenue districts of M.P. Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya Sagar has an excellent infrastructure with a center of Indira Gandhi Open University, Audiovisual Research Centre, Central Instrumentation Laboratory, Shrimant B.S. Jain Centre for Research and  Education in Psychology, and Population Research Centre created by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, within the campus.

DHSGSU Admission

DHSGSU admission 2022 offers undergraduate, postgraduate, PhD courses like BBA, B.Sc, M.Sc, MBA, M.Com, etc. Dr Hari Singh Gour University applications are open for the academic session 2022. Admissions for various programs are based on CUET exams. 

DHSGSU Eligibility Criteria

DHSGSU has set up different criteria for admission in different courses. The candidate must fulfill all the requirements for getting admission. The Institute has very strict criteria for admission, the basic criteria for some courses are as follows

B.Tech Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must score a minimum aggregate of 50% in Class 12 from a recognized institute.
• Candidates must have a valid score in the CUET.

M.Sc Eligibility criteria 

• Candidates are required to have a full-time Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University with a minimum of 50% marks.
• Candidates must have a valid score in the CUET-PG.

Ph.D. Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate should have passed undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in the desired field with a minimum of 55% marks for reserved category students.

• Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya Sagar has 36 University teaching departments,11 schools, and 19 affiliated colleges covering various districts of M.P. There are 4 hostels for boys (940 seats) and two hostels for girls ( app. 400 seats). State Bank of India.
• Post office, STD booth, Employment and Guidance Bureau, 3 canteens including a fully furnished Indian Coffee House (ICH), and a shopping complex provide auxiliary services on the campus. The Jawaharlal Nehru Library of the University has more than 4,00,000 books.
• As many as 26 departments have their own departmental libraries. Apart from the conventional degrees, post-graduate and research courses, Geology, Pharmacy, Criminology & Forensic Science, Anthropology, Performing Arts, Journalism & Mass Communication, Adult Education, Electronics, Business Management, Microbiology, Biotechnology, and Computer Applications are some of the special subjects, which attract a large number of students from the four corners of the country.
• Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya Sagar runs various self-finance, Correspondence Courses such as P.G. DHSGSU Placements

DHSGSU placements for the academic year 2021-2022 are going on and a total of 35 students have received job offers so far. According to the third placement report, over 10 recruiters participated and placed 35 students successfully. The placement committee aims to accomplish recruitment in different companies and gather information regarding the recruitment process in the companies. The information regarding the placements is displayed on the notice boards. Also with placement, the committee promotes self-employment. Seminars and special lectures on Entrepreneurship Development are delivered to the students. 

DHSGSU Scholarships

DHSGSU offers a number of scholarships and freeships to students coming from a financially poor backgrounds. It is offered on various parameters and criteria to deserving and meritorious students. Candidates belonging to scheduled tribes and scheduled tribes are offered a post-matric scholarship by the university. With proper documentation, students can avail themselves of the benefits.
