Library

The Library's mission is to make its resources available and useful to the DSTC Students and Staff Members and to sustain and preserve the collection of knowledge and creativity for future generations. The library is keen to support the educational and research program in the college by maximizing access to information. This rich and valuable collection has some of the useful reference materials and subject related national & international journals.

Since its inception, the library has seen a steady growth of the collection. Today, the DSTC Library's collection exceeds 17000+ records including books, reports, theses, dissertations, journals, event details, maps, charts, audio/video cassettes, CDs/DVDs, atlas, slides and many more. It also caters the need of students to enrich their Communication Skills in English and offers them variety of fictions, non-fictions, science fiction, English Dictionaries (online & offline both). The library has subscribed over 100 national and international journals keep the users updated with the trends in the field. The DSTC library is also a DELNET member where students and staffs have an access to more than lacks of books and materials including Tutorials, Workshops, and Lectures Training Programs etc.

The library has an enriched collection of recourses of books on the subjects like Networking, Art, History and civilization, Mobile Computing, Hydraulics and Fluid Mechanics, Engineering Drawing, CNC Programming, Surveying , Soil Mechanics, Computer aided design, Building Science, Structural design, Earthquake Engineering, Construction planning and management, Urban and regional planning, Housing, Environmental planning, Transportation, Pharmaceutics, Human Anatomy, Economics, Economic planning etc.

The Library has adopted a user-friendly library software. The software facilitates automated circulation (issue & return) of the books and speedy access to bibliographies, locations and availability information of the books in the library. Bar-coding on books and the automated check-in and check-out facility of books reduce the waiting time.

Campus Amenities :-

DSTC campus comprises of classrooms and laboratories building, a separate library, workshop, hostel and a conference hall. Technical education mainly relies a lot on Information Technology in today's scenario. DSTC has been constantly updating its IT infrastructure since beginning.

Teaching Learning Facilities.

The DSTC campus provides excellent teaching & learning facilities. The campus is divided into four main department buildings viz. they are:

• Workshop
• Canteen

Class Rooms

The campus is having 50+ well equipped class rooms.

Computer and Internet Labs

Computer centers are equipped with more than 400 personal branded computers adequately supported by leased line for Internet connectivity. They are also equipped with a wide range of licensed system software's and applications software's.

Engineering Laboratories

The campus is supported by 60 labs. The Laboratories contain all important modern equipment's that meet the requirements of all engineering curriculum.

Workshops

The workshop contains all required Instrument for job work of Students. Its carpet area is 1091.4 Sqm.

Learning Resources Center

The campus houses have a learning resource center which is spread over 400 sqmt. The library is having a collection of around 14000+ books, around 90+ national journals, magazines, periodicals and almost 6 national and international journals and around 462 CDs.

Hostel Facilities

To avoid the inconvenience caused to the students in daily traveling to and from the college, particularly to those residing at faraway places from the college, the construction to build separate hostel for boys in the campus has been started. To provide recreation to the students residing in the campus, trustees have incorporated sports facilities such as football and cricket grounds. Facilities of indoor games will also be provided to the students by individual colleges situated within the campus. Facilities like total Buildings: 2, well furnished Rooms: 78, Excellent dining facilities 3 times a day, all together a state of art infrastructure.
