Central Library

Our Mission is to improve the knowledge of students and faculty members by effectively utilizing the timely updated resources through the innovation of information Technology with high quality service. 

GTEC Central Library is systematically designed and built in 824 Sq. mt with fully air-conditioned. As per the regulations of AICTE and Anna University we have the following salient features at our GTEC Library.

•  More than 31,500 volumes of books, back volumes and thesis.

•  7664 titles of Different Engineering and Non Engineering study materials

•  139 Subscriptions of Printed National Journals and Magazines.

•  1857 e. journals (International ) form IEEE, ASME and DELNET.

•  2714 Non Book Materials (CD’S, DVDs, and Audio Cassettes) and also we have Indian and International Publisher’s titles.      

Internet Connectivity :

• BandWidth - 45 Mbps(1 : 1)

• Internet Server (Endian Firewall 2.5)

• 200 Systems are facilitated with internet facility out of 908 systems

• Internet Centre for Students and Faculty

• WiFi Connectivity in all blocks

• Symantec Endpoint Protection

Medical Facilities :

A part time Medical officer has been appointed in the campus to take care of sick students and staff.

Sports Facilities :

"All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy" is a well known proverb.

At GTEC we believe in all round development of our engineers. Sports helps promote a healthy lifestyle and teaches engineers how to cope with stress. Sportsmanship strives for fair play, courtesy towards team mates & opponents, ethical behaviour, integrity & grace in both victory as well as defeat. Hence, at GTEC we emphasize the importance of sports and ensure that physical activity is an integral part of the curriculum. We believe in the Olympian creed:

"The most important thing... is not winning but taking part" (Pierre de Coubertin)

GTEC has numerous outdoor playgrounds and indoor courts spread across 20 acre and here we nurture the dreams and visions of our budding sports-stars. Able guidance & much needed motivation are provided to our students along with the regular fitness regime which helps them develop a competitive spirit.Hostel Facilities :

• The college has separate hostel facilities for boys and girls.

• We provide R.O Water for drinking in all the blocks of the hostel. 

• The hostel has Water coolers fitted with R.O plant.

• 24 hours electricity is provided with backup generator.

• Hot water supply for bathing with Geysers(storage water Heater).

• Provision for indoor games like Table Tennis , Badminton, Chess, Volleyball, Basket ball and Carrom.

• A common room with a Television having DTH service.

• A common news/reading room containing news papers, periodicals, magazines.

• Each student is provided with well furnished room having a cot, a study table, an almirah and a chair.

• A physical fitness room with Gym and Exercise Equipments such as Treadmills , Upright Bike , Dumbbells etc..,

• Provision for Computers usage with internet facility

Canteen and Mess :

"AS A PRINCIPLE, ONLY VEGETARIAN FOOD IS PROVIDED. EVEN EGG IS PROHIBITED INSIDE THE COLLEGE CAMPUS"

• The Belly rules the Mind.

• Food is an important part of a balanced diet.

• As per the above proverb, GTEC provides to its students a very healthy & hygienic food.

• There is a separate mess for hostel students and a separate Cafeteria for Day scholars.
