Fees & Scholarships : As I passed out in 2022 year and I am a Computer Science Graduate . My course fees for the entire 4 year B.E course would be around 70,000-80,000 rupees. There are various scholarship schemes are well and one can avail that if he or she is from Backward class or TWF. There is no need of loans as the course fee is the minimum that one can ask for. Moreover we have to pay fees semester wise and that is around 8000-10000 per sem.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The eligibility criteria is based on the rank you obtained in the State level Entrance Test i.e. JKCET (which is the only way to get into the college). If you got good rank you are among the top 300-400 students who had appeared for the Test you can get into this college. The cut off varies each year and is uploaded on the official website.

Placements & Internships : I have done 2 internships . The 1st one was from TCS on Data Science and the second one from Exposys DataLabs based on Data Science. The key companies that hire from our campus offer roles related to IT only. Average salary also varies batch to batch , but this year in 2022 most students are placed at an average package of 6-7 LPA. The highest placement are from CSE and then from E&C. Alumni network is also good ,the T & P cell organizes alumni meet with the cultural fest in the start of every year.

Academics & Faculty : The timings are not that strict but now the scenario is changing. The exams are conducted 3 times a semester. Two mid terms and 1 final exams . But method and quality of teaching is not that good. That's the only downside of this college but now they are working on this as they have installed smart Tv's in the classes for study purpose . I want to see more improvement from the college management in this sector.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There are only boys hostel as of now I didn't know the capacity as I didn't opt, for it as Jammu is my hometown. But one can very easily get PG there in jammu and can commute on the daily basis and cost is very effective , you can get cost-effective pg with good food providing 3 times food a day starting from 6000 INR. The college architecture is very beautiful , the classrooms are maintained properly , the gardens are well maintained wifi in the labs and all labs, libraries are air conditioned make this college a good place to be in.

Clubs & Associations : There are various clubs that are responsible for conducting cultural fests and organising some functions . Also some are associated with T&P cell in helping them in the placements. We usually celebrate Diwali fest and cultural fest which happens twice a year. The college is really a good place everywhere you will see greenery and peaceful environment .

Fees & Scholarships : Fee is very low as compared to other engineering colleges in J&K. Around Rs. 20000 per year. Reserved categories students get scholarship.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : For getting admission in GCET one has to score more than 50% in PCM in 12th class. After that students have to pass an entrance examination called JKCET. If they score good they get college on the basis of ranking. The procedure is simple. There are 300 seats available in college. So top 300 rankers can get GCET but if they don't admit themselves, further counselling goes on till all seats get filled.

Placements & Internships : There are no such big companies coming in college for placement but some companies come and few students are selected. The average salary is about Rs. 3 to 5 lakhs per annum

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : One Boys Hostel is present. Three Blocks are present for Civil, CSE, and mechanical. But no separate blocks for electrical and other branches. No ACS in classes. College is far away from the city and a lot of lands is not utilized.

Clubs & Associations : No such function are done. Sports week is only for 3 days no big games and no such participation is done.

Fees & Scholarships : The course fee per year is about Rs 15000 which is standard for a state institution. The scholarships are not provided by the college but by the central authorities for various categories and minorities. The scholarship is given to every eligible candidate. Loans are almost never-needed.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The college grants admission through a competitive exam i.e. JKCET (Jammu and Kashmir Common Entrance Test). The eligibility criteria includes 1. Having passed from 10+2 format from a recognised board                                  2. Permanent Residence Certificate (This restricts the applicants from other states applying for the entrance)  The cut-offs for the civil course are the highest among all branches, though the cut-off varies from year to year. The recent increase in the seats has led to the cut-offs being dropped.

Placements & Internships : The industrial-training is generally completed from the various government departments of the state with college-assistance. Computers, EC, Mechanical and Electrical branch students are regularly hired by mass recriters such as TCS and Wipro. However no companies have visited the campus for Civil recruitment for the past 2 years. But the government-absorption for the same is excellent. The average salary offered is Rs 3-3.5 lakhs (CTC). The highest remains the same. The alumni-network is poor and virtually non-existent.

Academics & Faculty : The daily routine is flexible. The college timins for the summers is 9am-3pm and winters is 10am-4pm.  The quality of academics is average for a government institution. However some selected faculty is highly motivating and exceptionally qualified. The overall experience in college is fairly normal bordering on disappointing.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There is a hostel available for boys and one under-construction for girls. Currently the hostel is not sufficient for the entire strength. The hostel fees is about Rs 3000 for the entire semester. However the mess-fees is about Rs 3000 per month. No PG is available in the vicinity of the college. The nearest accomodation is available at a distance of about 8-10km. The cost varies according to facilities from Rs 4000-7000 per month. The food in the mess is satisfactory and it costs about Rs 30 per meal. The quality of class-rooms is average. The Wi-Fi speed is excellent. The labs are sufficiently equipped.

Clubs & Associations : No college societies, clubs and association exist. No major festivals are celebrated. There is an annual conference celebrated in the month of September and Sports Week in the month of December.
