University of Jammu was established in 1969. The university is the first university in India to receive the ISO-9001 certification. It is known for achieving world-class excellence in teaching, research, and knowledge transfer and making valuable contributions to the socio-economic development of the region and country. The University of Jammu is formerly known as Jammu University.

It is in the lap of mountains at the foothills of the auspicious Trikuta, beside the river Tawi. It has grown and developed as one of India’s prestigious universities with its commitment and focus on its core functions of teaching, research, publication, examination, and extension.

University of Jammu Admission 2024

University of Jammu admissions 2024 can be done online through the official website of the college. The entrance test is conducted for every single course. The university offers undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG) and doctorate (PhD) level courses. A total of 101 courses are offered here. Admissions are based on marks scored in the entrance examination conducted by the university - Jammu University Entrance Test (JUET)

University of Jammu Eligibility Criteria

The university offers admission to 7 UG courses, 66 courses at the PG level and 27 courses at the PhD level. Each course has its respective eligibility criteria. Candidates must meet this eligibility criterion to seek admission to this university. Given below are the criteria for a few courses: 

LLB Eligibility Criteria

  • Graduation with a minimum of 45% marks (For general category)
  • Graduation with a minimum of 40% marks (For reserved categories)

B.Com Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must have passed their 10+2 examinations from a recognized board with at least 50% marks for admission to the course.

M.Lib.Sc Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must have passed their Graduation degree from a recognized institution.
  • Based on the score obtained in the JUET examination conducted by the university.

University of Jammu Cut Off

The University of Jammu cut off 2021 has been released.  The students who are seeking admission to the institute are required to meet the cut off criteria of the university and also need to secure valid marks in JEE Advanced for engineering, CAT for MBA and PGDM. Also, candidates must secure a valid score in the JUET entrance test conducted by the university. The CAT 2021 (round 1) cut off mark is 50 for all specializations in MBA. Factors deciding the cut off set for each year are as follows:

  • Number of Candidates appearing for the exam.
  • Number of candidates passing the exam.
  • The difficulty level of the question paper.
  • Vacancy for a particular exam.
  • Cutoff may also be sectional-wise.

University of Jammu Result

The University of Jammu announced the Jammu University result 2021 in online mode at the official website at jammuuniversity.ac.in under students corner. There is a controller of examination that is responsible for all activities related to examinations and results. Students must submit the correct login details to access the provided result notification link. The candidates can apply for revaluation or rechecking of the exam response sheets for theory subjects on the announcement of results. It has provided a chance for the candidates who are not qualified in the exams by conducting supplementary exams.

University of Jammu is spread over 118.70 acres with modern amenities. It provides state-of-the-art facilities and enormous opportunities for students to develop and grow. The campus has a yoga centre for students, staff, citizens, and scholars. This centre organizes meditation camps twice a year, and special yoga classes for children are being organized during summer vacation. University of Jammu Placements

University of Jammu 2021-2022 placement results will be released shortly.  College gives regular training for group decisions, for placement cell method and all aspects of mode which will grow the future of every student. University of Jammu Scholarship

University of Jammu provides scholarships to all eligible and required candidates, who are falling in their category defined. There are six research scholarships offered for PG students in every course to carry out their research leading to the award of a PhD degree. This scholarship provides Rs.5000/- per month and it is tenable for three years from the date of start of the research work within the campus. Some of the other scholarships offered by the university are:
