Library

Library is the backbone of any educational Institution. The college has a central library with 14600 number of reference and text book, along with 10 journals, Automation (on Soul software) of the library is on its last legs of completion.

Books are issued and returned on all working days for the convenience of the student. National as well as regional newspapers and periodicals both in Hindi and English are subscribed every year.

Sports

Not only in academic field, but also in sports, Benazir College students are in the fore front. The college has facilities for various Outdoor and Indoor games like KHO-KHO, Badminton, Cricket, Volleyball, Table Tennis, Chess and Carom. This College participated in various sports activities during 2007-08.

NCC

N.C.C Senior Division (Army Wing) was opened in Government Science and Commerce College, Benazir, Bhopal, on 01st July,2000.In this subunit of N.C.C there is one platoon which is commanded by Captain Sanjay Telang, who is a senior “Associate N.C.C. Officer”.

There are 53 cadets from different classes who all types of N.C.C Training in every session. In the end of the session, cadets of IInd year appear in “B” Certificate Examination, while the cadets of IIIrd year appear in the “C” Certificate Examination.

In every session cadets get training on  20 Sundays. On every Sunday they take part in training from 8.00 AM to 12.50 PM. In this training Drill, Weapon Drill, Firing and Lectures etc. are included.

Apart from this Cadets take part in various Camps like Annual Training Camp,National Integration Camp, Thal Sena Camp, Army Attachment Camp, Summer Camp, etc.

Besides this cadets also take part in adventurous activities like Trekking, Cycle Expedition, Motor Bike Expedition etc. cadets also give their contribution in social activities like Tree plantation, Anti “AIDS”Awareness Programme,Welfare Programmes for Ex-servicemen and their families and old people, traffic control, environmental conservation etc.

NSS

N.S.S. came into existence in 1983 just after establishment of Govt.Science & Commerce College, Benazir in 1982.Since its inception National service scheme is servicing the cause of students.

Its basic aim is to develop the personality of students through social service. Presently our college has a unit of a 50 students and it is likely to go up to a much bigger number and more Units.

Last session a special camp was held for 10 days at Khajuri Sadak under the Gokul Gram concept of M.P. Government They did notable work in the field of spreading awareness in literacy drive.It was the main attraction among the notable achievements.

Students participate in Quiz competition to develop their knowledge about AIDS,cancer and plans of N.S.S conducted by the programme officer.

Plantation work, environmental awareness and such creative activities are carried out by N.S.S. Infact N.S.S. Caters to the needs of all-round development of personality of students.
