Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (GGU), situated in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, is a Central University established under the Central Universities Act of 2009. Formally known as Guru Ghasidas University established by an Act of the State Legislative Assembly on June 16, 1983.

GGU holds membership in the Association of Indian Universities and Association of Commonwealth Universities. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council [NAAC] has accredited GGU with B Grade. GGU has been approved as a University by UGC. GGU is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities and Association of Commonwealth Universities.

GGU Bilaspur Admission

GGU Bilaspur admission 2024-25 is open. Candidates can apply online on the college website for admission to GGU Bilaspur. Some of the GGU Bilaspur courses includes MA, MCA, B.Ed, B.Sc, BBA, M.Sc, and Ph.D. programs. GGU Bilaspur Admissions is done through merit, CUET entrance test. Admission into the courses is made through the Entrance Examination held by GGU Bilaspur. Also, through counselling conducted by the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB), MHRD, Govt. of India on the basis of merit of JEE (Mains).

GGU Bilaspur Infrastructure is a bushy green refreshing campus that spans an area of approximately 655 acres and is located 5 km away from Bilaspur Town. River Arpa known as the Lifeline of Bilaspur runs parallel to the GGU Bilaspur campus. GGU later transformed into Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya which is a Central University of India established under the Central Universities Act 2009. GGU Bilaspur campus is spread over an area of approx. 655 acres. The campus is located 5 Km away from the main town. A garland of ornamental trees and ponds crows the site. Gardens, meadows, trees, and shrubs have been used according to a bio-aesthetic plan to make the site attractive and hospitable. GGU Bilaspur Placements 2023 report has not been released yet. All students at GGU Bilaspur are equipped with placement support, training, and counseling. The GGU Bilaspur Placement Cell intends to administer workshops and seminars to facilitate the students to become successful professionals. GGU Bilaspur also bestows communication skill development through various modular programs to students right from the first semester.
