Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar is a premier institute of North India, providing Value-based, Employment-Oriented quality education to the women-folk. This 80 years old women institution was established in 1927 at Lahore by the pious efforts of Mahatma Hans Raj, an enlightened veteran leader of DAV Movement, and it shifted to Jalandhar after the partition.In 1959, its new campus at Jalandhar inaugurated by a great philosopher and teacher, the then Vice-President of India Dr. Sarvpalli Radhakrishnan and restarted with a meager strength of 100 students in Jalandhar which at present has on its rolls almost 4500 students. This is one of the oldest Institutes initiated by DAV College Managing Committee, New Delhi.
