HBTU placement drive provides excellent job opportunities to students. In 2023, the highest package of INR 23 LPA was offered by Valency International to a B.Tech student, followed by the second highest package of INR 17.25 LPA offered by many companies to students from both MCA and B.Tech backgrounds.

The HBTU placement 2022-23 was concluded successfully. A total of 106 companies participated in the HBTU placement drive, and over 380 offers were made across all specialisations. 

Harcourt Butler Technical University placement cell organises various industry interaction and counselling sessions that help students in placement. The HBTU Kanpur placement cell ensures the overall development of the students, during the course, by providing paid internships as well. HBTU Placement Highlights

The placement statistics have successively increased at HBTU in the past years. The year 2022 saw an increase in the number of employer recruiters and the highest CTC. Also, the HBTU average package rose from INR 7.18 LPA to INR 8.3 LPA. The key highlights of HBTU Kanpur placements are as follows:

• HBTU highest package offered during the 2019-20 placements was INR 60 LPA and the average package offered was INR 7.18 LPA. Additionally, 26 paid internships were offered to the students by various top recruiters.
• In 2020-21, the highest package offered was INR 43.5 LPA, and the average package offered was INR 6.46 LPA. Additionally, 78 paid internships were offered to the students by various top recruiters.
• According to the HBTU placement 2021-22, 106 companies participated in the placement drive.
• In the HBTU Placement 2021-22, the highest package offered was INR 44.5 LPA, and the average package offered was INR 8.82 LPA. Additionally, 202 paid internships were offered.

HBTU B.Tech Placements 2022

According to the HBTU placement data for 2022-2023, the total number of students placed from various B.Tech streams was 364. The highest package offered in the Bio-Chemical Engineering branch was INR 7.25 LPA by BYJU, and the overall highest package offered was INR 23 LPA by Valency Internation (Ovs) to a Food Technology student. Students were placed at top companies, and the HBTU course-wise highest salary offered to the students is listed below.

HBTU MCA Placements 2022

The HBTU MCA placements 2022-23 concluded successfully. 108 students were placed at various top companies. Out of these, 11 students were offered the highest package of INR 17.5 LPA by Lendis+Gyr. Below are the highlights of the HBTU MCA placements.

HBTU Placement Cell

HBTU Placement Cell consists of an enthusiastic team striving to match the recruiter’s expectations and the student’s aspirations. The university placement coordinators, in consultation with the student representatives, handle the placement cell tasks. The HBTU Training and Placement Cell is the team of student representatives coordinating with the company to enhance student employability. Each branch of engineering has a decided no. of student representatives, easing the workload of the placement cell.

The placement cell organises the placement drive for students who score above 6 CGPA. The cell organises career counselling by personnel working at some of the top companies, including TATA Motors, TCS, HUL, Cognizant and many others. Industry interaction conducted by the cell allows students to learn from and interact with professionals in a particular field. These initiatives help students in making the right career choice.

HBTU Internships

The HBTU internships or summer training are a dynamic method for students to learn and hone practical skills related to their fields. Students are encouraged to enrol in summer internships to ensure their overall development. The summer internships allow students to get industry-relevant knowledge and training that helps them in the longer run. In the past, students have scored paid internships in the domains of Core JAVA, Web Studio, Python Programming, Data Analysis, Machine Learning, Robotics, and Aero Modelling.

HBTU Placement Process

The Harcourt Butler Technical University placement process has six steps that have been set in a way to provide a smooth and hassle-free experience for the recruiters and the students. These steps are.

• Step 1: Send a formal invitation to the companies participating in the placement drive to give them a brief about the institute and the scope of recruitment.
• Step 2:  The training and placement cell acquires and documents the details of the companies participating in the drive.
• Step 3: Conduct pre-placement talks and allotment of dates for pre-placement processes such as written/aptitude tests.
• Step 4: Shortlist candidates that will appear in the Interview round and set dates accordingly.
• Step 5: Schedule interviews with the shortlisted candidates.
• Step 6: Publishing the final list of selected/placed students by the companies.
